Can anyone tell me the answer to the following?
We were one of the few who had to pay for the IHS on a separate page because we applied before July 3, so I have a question.  I was able to sign into that page and see the status of my IHS and I have had an active "request refund" button on there since july 1st.  But as of today noon, that button has disappeared..I have checked several times and it is definitely gone.  We have not received any refund and my understanding is that it would have been immediate as we paid with paypal.
We still have not received an email with "decision made" yet nor any UPS updates...does this button disappearing mean good news? or still could go either way?  just curious.

I would think it could be an indication of good news, but the reality is, the only way to know is to receive your package back with your passport and visa inside.  But the guessing games are fun!   ;D

Hello everyone...
I decided to join in this wait...we had applied back in March and was refused due to financials poorly done by a solicitor so we have now reapplied...from the date of the acknowledgement email (4th of August), today was day 55, end of 11 weeks. WE only counted business days and minus the holiday the last Monday of August. Our email said that it would be a maximum of 12 weeks but this wait is absolutely awful.

I miss my husband so much, have not seen him for 4 months.  I too was hoping to leave the 23rd of October.

We definitely ticked ALL of the boxes this time but of course was not allowed to pay priority due to the refusal so here we are.

I can only hope that next week there will be a response.  On the expat forum there is also several at 56, 58 and some right at 60 with no response.  All of us there are US citizens waiting non priority for settlement visas.

The weekend is definitely the hardest knowing there is no work happening :(

Understand your frustration. there new post for those that paid non priority since by the looks of it not many did non priority. If you can keep up posted when you get it there few of us that timeline just after yours. In theory if you get yours maybe ours will be coming soon after. lol

acknowledgement email for me was Aug 20th and still waiting even thou application was done in mid July.
Haven't seen my husband since June. and it is painful hoping we be able to least enjoy Christmas together and the family. fingers crossed for you too.

I finally got my visa on Thursday!!! UPS didn't deliver until 8:15 pm. It was murder!!!

Maybe this will be an encouragement to someone. On Monday the 19th the active "refund request" button disappeared on my IHS page which was day 56 since I had received the confirmation email. I received my email decision had been made the next morning on day 57 and 5 minutes later docs dispatched.

So I received it today, day 59 and I leave tomorrow. The visa was issued the same day my "refund button" disappeared-- I got the 30 day and will pick up my card in the UK. They sent everything back in a big plastic envelope.
My husband is self-employed and this is our 2nd time. We were refused in March this year. It has been a long year. So ready to go home to the love of my life. Personally, I just want to thank God for pulling us through this.

BTW. Just as an FYI interesting note. There has been a lot of talk about the ref number in your subject line of "decision has been made". Well I had a VAF# and it did correspond with my visa # for what it is worth))
I wish you the best. Waiting is the most difficult.  I hadn't seen my husband since 1st if July.
Have you heard anything yet?  I arrived in England this morning.

THAT IS GREAT NEWS!!!!!!
I understand the long wait its painful. If things are on track maybe me and few others that are little after your time date means will be coming soon...
I havnt seen my husband since June only cause i had death in the family he came to comfort me. before that was last Sept. we were suppose to apply last year but my father got sick i needed to make sure he was ok before i left to go over the pond. What day are you on since the confirmation email?  Remember only business days and the last Monday in August was a holiday.
Sorry to hear about your family.  I will be honest - I wouldn't wish this process on anyone!!  It is so awful but when you get it you will be so relieved and happy.

Ive been looking on the Uk website and hear havnt really seen it inless im missing it.
But...Once Visa is approved i see alot of people saying it good for 30days.
(I got the 30 day and will pick up my card in the UK.)
What does that mean? Thought the visa is good for 33 mnths. Also i refuse to give up my job or move my belongings till i hear word. cause i always think of the worse case scenario. I have prepped. Im all ready to move my stuff just need to make phone call. as for work they already know so all i have to do is give 2 weeks notice. But i figured once approved. i give my 2 weeks, have about week before flight to say goodbye sort anything i missed that didn't have time while working. be on plan 3weeks/4weeks from the time i get the visa. but if its only 30 days? what is the process? i fly over then make appointment to pick up another visa? i know i have to apply for insurance card but what else is there? what the actually process once reciee and deadline i need to make to make sure i dont mess it up lol

So the deal his that yes you only get a 30-day one now and if you don't fly within that time - you have to reapply for another visa. It is only to get you in the country now.
When you get here you go to the PO you specified in your App and you pick up your card and that is good for 2.6 months.

Sorry, I think you mean 2.5 years for your BRP card?
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

If i give my 2weeks notice now, call the company to move my stuff now. then find out in 2 to 3 weeks the visa been refused im fecked LOL. but same time if i dont wont give me alot of leg room to do all that needed to move/and get to england when needed.

Are you coming over on a fiance/marriage visa or a spousal visa? They have the same requirements for the application, but very different things for your actual visa. As you are mentioning insurance, it sounds like you might be coming over on a fiance/marriage visa.

EDIT: saw you're on a spousal application.
