I'm British - born and raised in Bristol, but I currently live in Lincoln.

I've lived in the US twice as an international student, in Albuquerque, NM - 10 months in 2003/04 on study abroad, and 8 months in 2008 for grad school. I also have relatives in the US, so I've spent about 8 months in Arkansas as well over the years (which is where I am right now).

From Santa Barbara, California. Moved to St Andrews 2004, then to Bucks in 2008, then to Sheffield in 2010, then to Essex in 2011, then to North Yorks (York and now nearish Leeds) in 2012. I guess I get restless?

I've moved 27 times in the last 14 years. I am never moving again. Ever.

I'm similar, with all the travelling for studying and work, I've now moved 21 times since 2008 - I've lived in 7 towns in 4 countries on 4 different continents... Even though I've bought a house now, by mid-2018 it'll be 25 moves: 9 towns in 6 countries on 5 different continents.

Born British, naturalised US citizen. Lived in Devon, Bristol, Warrington, near Cambridge, then Houston TX, followed by KL, Malaysia, near London and now back in Houston.

Not as impressive as some, but still coping with jet lag from the latest move!

Grew up in Castle Rock, Washington. After college moved to High Wycombe,Bucks for 5 years. Then Newbury,Berks for 2 more. Back to the US for a couple of years. Then back to Croughton in Northamptonshire for 6 months. Then 10 years in Giessen, Germany (lived in 2 different towns). 5 years in Okinawa Japan (3 different places). 7 years back in N Yorkshire (3 different places). 4 years back in the US. Now in year 2 back in Harrogate. I like moving. It's a pain....but I get bored in the same place after a while. My wife is happy where she is....so not likely to move again. I wanted to spend at least a few years in Italy and Iceland before I retired.....never worked out.

I'm originally from a suburb of Minneapolis, MN. We moved to Colorado when I was 8. Between the ages of 9 and 11, we moved 4 times in Colorado. Then during college, I moved 3 times. I settled for a few years after graduation. Then I moved to Swadlincote, Derbyshire, where we have since moved once to a larger house.

Total number of moves in 30ish years: 10.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

I was born in North Carolina but left there as soon as I could.  I lived in San Jose California for a while until the earthquake in 1989 scared me away to Colorado.  Then it was Crossville TN, San Francisco, Tucson, Prague,  Brighton and London.

Mostly the pattern of my life is some adventurous times in California figuring out that I shouldn't be a hang glider pilot, then an aimless drive to Colorado where I met the French wife.  Then living wherever she got a job at a University, then moving to Europe to be closer to her family.  Finally, moving to England to settle down and have kids.

Write that on my gravestone.

I was born in Atlanta, apparently lived in West Virginia for less than a year when I was 3, moved to Clearwater Florida when I was 4.  Lived there until I moved out and moved to Orlando.  Lived in Orlando for 8 years, 3 years of which I commuted between Orlando and Melbourne (Florida, not Australia).  Took a transfer to Denver and lived in Castle Rock.  Took a transfer to the UK.  Was supposed to be here for 2 years and then transfer to Beijing.  But I went speed dating one night... and now I have a life sentence in the UK!   ;)

Some days I think we'll move to the US, some days I think we are here to stay.  Who knows.  At a minimum we would like to do 6 months a year in the US, 6 months a year in the UK when we retire.  But alas, retirement is much further away than I wish it was.

I still really wish China had happened.  That was my big goal.
