Greetings all! congrats to all whose VISAs are arriving!!!
Unfortunately, my application was refused. We sought help from the MP, who contacted us today and told us they refused our application on 10/25. I haven't received anything back from them yet.
The reason for the refusal was stated as not meeting the financial requirement. We meet the amount required, well beyond. My husband works for himself. Here are the problems:
The business bank account does not have the business name on it...just his.
The personal bank account does not show evidence of the 'salary' coming into his personal account.
The personal bank account does not show evidence of the 'dividends' coming into his personal account.
All other requirements were met.
I am unsure whether we should appeal, or start from scratch. I am unsure how to resolve this in general. We just found out today, so we have not reached out to our accountant (who provided all the documentation of taxes, and corporate dividends, etc.). We plan to reach out to the accountant.
Anyone have any experience or advice? Should we get an attorney? The appeal cost is £480 just to look at papers and £800 to have an oral hearing (as of 10 Oct 2016).
Any advice or words of encouragement would be appreciated. We are pretty bummed out.
