Hey everyone,

So I posted on the July thread but I'll post here too. Yesterday after maybe my zillionth email inquiry, i was finally told my app has been processed and a decision has been made. Similar to Phu and Airedale as well as a few others. I'm not letting myself get too excited until I get the official email but I'm thankful and just awaiting the outcome now. I hope it comes through soon and that it's approved and wishing the same for everyone else too.

Phu or anyone else, can you share how long after receiving this response from the email inquiry service did your official email come through?

Hello everyone

So my agent emailed us to let us know that the decision has been made for us. She is yet to receive a formal email from home office but at least it's done. I'm super excited and scared at the same time. Let's all hope for a great outcome. But what a good start to this weekend. I will keep you guys posted if I hear anything else.

Phu's took a few days and her visa had been issued about a week earlier.  It WILL be this week, but no telling what day.  Just think - this could be your very last weekend as a US resident (if you jump on a flight right away)!

Have a margarita for me....  have LOTS of margaritas for me!

Well my husband payed the nhs fee for my son Friday and they still haven't taken the payment so it's still pending.  Guess I'm not getting any decision made emails for a while. 😢😢😢.  Im so low, I don't know how much more I can take.

I still haven't gotten the decision made email either and supposedly a decision has been made since last Thursday......i was so sure I'd wake up to a decision email today too...dunno what to make of this:(.

Don't worry Airadele, it will come really soon and at least you know you're approved, hang in there.

Hello all.
We submitted our marriage visa packet with all the documentation, non priority on August 4. It arrived in Sheffield August 8. It was supposed to go to the HM Forces section; but we think it wound up in the civilian section. We have still heard no word, received no email, nor have they answered our solicitor's emails. Today our solicitor has lodged a formal complaint; to which she says they have to respond. The packet not only contains a US passport, but vital information of a personal nature of a member of the British HM forces.
Good news is, she says if they don't respond by Wednesday, she is going to bring our case up to a member of parliament in a meeting she has scheduled, because there are other wives of HM forces officers who applied at the same time as us and they are there already.
I am floored and disheartened that we have heard no response at all. She is confident I will be there before Christmas, but I cannot help losing hope. Meanwhile, my husband and I have been separated for over a month now, which has been hard with not knowing. We were married in Fl in July. We had previously been used to being separated because of the long distance relationship, but he had been stationed here a few months, and we got used to being together all the time, so now it feels weird to be apart.
Is anyone else in a similar predicament? Any other non priorities from August who are still here or who have not even received word?

There is an august feed to post in.
I put my application in a month and a half before yours with documents soon after, your not alone but there are 3 people on this site from July who are still waiting for word on there's.
I haven't seen my husband in 5 months and I think there's others who've been apart for longer then me.

Oh and Mev my husband says he paid for mine at the time of application and they have never taken that either it's still pending!  This is so screwed up! I'm probably sending an email tonight before or after work.

What?! Are you serious? How can that be though? Most people use ccs to pay for the nhs fee...I know we did and if they took the app fee, why not the nhs fee then?

Welcome Kimmi! We all know how hard it is having to wait. There are quite a few of us from June, July, and August who are still waiting. I'm August too, hopefully we will all be hearing soon! The great thing about this site is that everyone understands exactly how you're feeling and are here for you!

It was supposed to go to the HM Forces section; but we think it wound up in the civilian section.

As far as I know, there is no separate section for HM forces applications - all the applications are placed in line together in the order they are received and they are processed whenever the ECO gets to them.

Good news is, she says if they don't respond by Wednesday, she is going to bring our case up to a member of parliament in a meeting she has scheduled, because there are other wives of HM forces officers who applied at the same time as us and they are there already.

There are also other spouses of civilians who are there already though... so I don't think they distinguish between the different application types.

Fingers crossed you hear something soon, and that your solicitor has some luck :).

Hmm, did he make sure that the payment wasn't blocked by his bank or anything? If he paid in dollars using a UK card, the transaction may have been flagged up as fraudulent and blocked by the bank.

Card payments should be processed immediately, so the first NHS payment should have been taken at about the same time as the visa fee, before you even mailed the application to Sheffield.
