Congratulations! So happy for you.

We still haven't had our shipping mail, I think part of the waiting is the hardest!

Any one done non-priority for november/october? What is the time line looking like?
I am wondering if it is worth the extra 300  or so dollars.

Not sure if anyone has done non-priority recently, though if you're applying for a settlement visa (fiance/spouse/partner) to join your partner in the UK, priority service currently costs $567, not $300.

It's actually £450 but is charged in USD based on the exchange rate... it has actually just gone down in price recently, due to the UK pound falling - a few weeks ago, it cost $612 for settlement priority service.

Or, if you're applying for a work or student visa, priority service is currently $189.

We really don't know at the moment, because I don't think anyone has submitted a non-priority application since August or maybe September.

The people receiving their non-priority visas right now submitted their applications in August and I think everyone else who has applied since then has used the priority service because of the longer processing times over the summer.

However, as we've seen with the priority applications, people who submitted using priority in the last 2 weeks already have their visas (issued within 2-4 days or so), so hopefully that means that non-priority is speeding up as well (normally non-priority would be about 2-3 weeks or so when it's not busy).

Thank you looks positive for this month.
As a standard
would you advise doing non-priority if i need to get to uk in a month from date of postage?

If you can afford it, I would do priority, as you never know exactly how long it might take and priority takes some of the stress out of the process.

Back in June and July, several people here on the forum did not use priority because it appeared as though non-priority was 'only' taking 30 working days. Turned out that there were massive delays this summer that no one could have predicted and those 30 working days turned into about 90 working days and they didn't get their visas until October, while people who paid priority got their visas in about 25 working days.

Thank you again.
Do people generally pay for the shipping from vfs global or buy there own from UPS website? Asking because it is half the rate from the website.

Roundtrip courier service from the VFS site seems to be easier. They even recommended it at my biometrics appointment.
