Revive! 'Tis the season!  We've been eating up loads of purple sprouting  broccoli, chard, spring greens, kale, and cauliflower that overwintered.  Yum, yum!
I managed to successfully over winter 1 pepper plant and 2 tomato plants so they've got a good head start.   Greenhouse full of seedlings, plus all the carrot, parsnips, broad beans, peas, lettuces, radishes, beetroots, turnips, swedes, cauliflowers coming up in the raised beds.  Potatoes planted.

Loving this amazing spring weather!
I've never gotten food on my underpants!

I'm in the garden enjoying this return to beautiful weather and pretending to be useful by pulling weeds and tidying the gravel path.  I just came across this guy and I thought it was cute.  Beyond "weed", does anybody know what it is?

It does. I was going to say Sycamore (basically the weeds of the tree world!) but the leaf might be too long and thin. JFkimberly, can we see the leaf straight on please?

I got rid of the first one, but I found another one in a different part of the garden.

I think what you should do is pot it up and see what it turns into!  :)

Woodland trust has a tree identification app! Look! :D    https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/trees-woods-and-wildlife/british-trees/tree-id-app/

I Googled sycamore seedling and I am pretty sure you have identified it!  Yay!

And I think I will pot one and see what happens.  I like trees.  :)

We get little trees trying to grow in our paved and walled courtyard. I always feel bad about pulling them.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Me too! It's like they've done so well to get this far.

Exactly! You landed in just the right place between the pavers, and you were able to grow your first two leaves.

It's such a bummer.

We have an allotment!

We came to the top of the list just as we were due our eldest so decided not to take it.  The allotments have now been moved to our estate (phased over the last couple of years) and we’ve been assigned one.  I pick up the keys later this week.  We are looking forward to checking it out this weekend and getting started.  We think the timing is great.  As the kids are 6 and 3 it can be a fun family thing!
