Would anybody be interested in having a thread where we just share photos we've taken? just going through my photos I've taken from italy and thought it'd be nice to have a place to share some of the snaps but I enjoy taking photos in general so would be cool if there were other people who enjoyed it as well and wanted to share? Don't get me wrong, I know mine aren't mind-blowingly amazing photos or anything so even if you don't think yours are worth sharing but want to share them anyways, it would be cool :)

I'm up for this :).

I've been getting into photography the last few years, though I don't do nearly enough of it (would like to take a class but don't have time with my shifts). I've been eyeing a new camera lens, but it's so expensive that I may just end up hiring it for a few days here and there.

Cameras and equipment do cost a pretty penny!

Yay! I'm glad other people want to share too. Guess we'll start just posting here!

They certainly do - right now I'm having to choose between the lens and a new car! Sadly I think the car is going to have to take priority :(.

Took this in Venice. Not an amazing one to kick it all off haha but it was just the first one I found that I wanted to share.

Oh man... I think cars will probably always win out as you can't take photos if you can't get to a location haha

I mostly use my iPhone if I'm honest because the camera I want is sooo expensive so I'm saving up for it and the camera I have takes worse pics than my phone as the autofocus can't be switched off and I need more control over that than my camera can give me.

My first trip to Hong Kong, I only took my iPod as a camera as I thought it would be good enough, but most of the photos came out blurry :(. So now I don't really trust iPod/iPhone cameras even though I know they can take good photos :P.

Okay, my first one is of a Weddell Seal in Antarctica, taken in January:

You'd be surprised...I did a side-by-side comparison of the same shot (one taken with my phone and one with my £80 camera because husband didn't believe me). In the end, he admitted that, actually, the phone was surprisingly miles above in quality compared to my Cannon!

LOVE the shot!!

Oh my the seal is so cute! So is the dog! I don't have any myself, but My six y/o is surprisingly really good at taking photos. We found this when my aunt let her play with her cannon at our wedding.  We got her a little Nikon digital camera but I don't have any uploaded yet. Here's on of em she took on my aunt's. I don't know those people FYI!

If it's something she's interested in, definitely help develop her skills! Get her involved as much as possible in classes etc. :)

That's a great picture she took, Eh127929 :).

I'd like to get better at taking landscape photos... mine tend to come out pretty nondescript - probably need filters or different settings or something. My main focus is usually on wildlife and people (from afar, like at concerts and events, not up-close portraits).

Definitely agree that she's taken a really nice landscape photo (especially for her age!) clearly has a natural eye for it!

I know, it's crazy. I can't hold a camera still to save my life but she's like meh no big deal. She really likes doing abstract nature shots...Plus she gets all the really good candid shots
