We got our decision has been made email!! It arrived this morning just before we went to work so we were together which was amazing. We had a feeling that we would hear something if my wife flew out here as the same thing had happened to so many people on this thread.

BD 56 - now the extra wait for the passport. My wife will be flying back to the UK on Sunday night so sadly we won't be able to open the package together. Has anyone ever managed to get the package earlier by going to the depot? It would be amazing if we try and pick it up directly on the weekend if it has arrived in New York but not sure if this is possible.

We are just going to celebrate having an answer, being together and being able to move forward with our lives whatever the outcome may be but of course nervous now to discover our fate.

Exciting!  The deciding factor will be if the depot is open for public collections on a Saturday.  If so, you should be able to arrange to collect it there.  If not - well, it's gonna be a looong weekend.   ;)

Congrats bbkrhm! It does seem to be the trend. People waiting longer have been getting decisions while on holiday together. That’s so nice! You must be over the moon so happy for you

So from what the letter told me, the standard part just means i'm on the 5 year track. It seems like partner part is a switchable term with spouse. Is this ok? Should it have said spouse instead? @ksand24 you might know?

Vignette good as of 4 May 2018 and I can collect BRP 11 May 2018  ;D

Congrats!! I can't remember what my letter said for your partner/spouse issue so I'll let the more experienced folks answer on that if they know. 5 year track is what you want :)
