Certainly for me and my family, whether they like it or not. Might make the effort to see it on the imax screen at the science museum.

That sounds intense and wonderful! I just opted for the standard 2D tickets vs the 3D of the next level up option of 3D (can't even remember what it's called), but I did go for the cinema that's slightly further away but MUCH comfier seats :)

Waiting for my husband to see the email I sent him with the confirmation in it hehehe

No hate :) To each their own larrabee! haha

I only get irritated with people that like to wear the fact that they *don't* subscribe to pop culture media as a badge of honour (I.E. those that were proudly posting "I'm proud to say I'm NOT watching the GoT Season Finale tonight as I'll be doing something more productive with my time" or something of that nature.). Can totally respect it not being up your alley :)

I can see any film I like because hubby will snore through it - no matter what it is.  When he gets too loud I give him a nudge.

haha even if I was tired, if I'm out in public/at the cinema I will stay awake. my husband, on the other hand....

When we went to see whatever the last superhero movie we saw was (can't even remember), we went with some friends and we were talking about what time to go at and he was like "10PM showing? No way..That's way too late....9PM is also pushing it...". He's so bad with that LOL

It feels like Star Wars has been the through line of my life. I saw the first one in the theater when I was 8 years old, and have made a point of seeing all the others in the theater, too.

When we went to see whatever the last superhero movie we saw was (can't even remember), we went with some friends and we were talking about what time to go at and he was like "10PM showing? No way..That's way too late....9PM is also pushing it...". He's so bad with that LOL

I saw Revenge of the Sith at 35 years old with a bunch of work friends at a midnight showing on the day it came out, which was awesome. There were people dressed as various characters, and about 50 light sabers in the crowd, and everybody went bat$hit crazy when the previews ended and the Lucasfilm logo came up.

And then toward the end when
Spoiler: show
Anakin was becoming Darth Vader
I remember thinking, "This is the last one of these movies. My childhood is coming to an end." I'm not too proud to say I was a little sad.

And then a few years later they started making more of them!

TL;DR - I'll be seeing The Last Jedi some time in the next few days.  :)

I'm with you Camoscato, I saw the first one when I was 10.  I had action figures and a tie fighter as well.

Not sure I bothered with some of the mediocre middle ones, but the last two have been cracking.

I plan to see it with the husband, probably when we're visiting his parents and need things to occupy time. :)

Haha, I had a ton of that stuff. I had an X-Wing, a Tie fighter, and I think there's probably still a beat up AT-AT in my parents' attic.
