Hmmmm I thought we needed to show proof of hmrc contributions. I've just dug out all my payslips.

I'm sure ksands and kfdancer will be around to tell me I don't need them

Correct me if I’m wrong, but because we aren’t EU, we don’t need to give payslips. Passport is proof of residency.
Ignore me, you are correct. I read the documents list wrong.

I totally wanted to spend 2 hours going through all my file cabinets looking for 3 years worth of payslips tonight anyway.

Total side note, submitting my application online Friday (pay day) and have my ndrs + jcap appointment in the 28th. Hopefully, by the new year I'll have a decision

Please let me know how your appt goes! I have mine coming up, too! It’s a stressful time and it often easy to overthink things.

Friday is the 17th.  Your appointment won't be within 10 days of Friday.  Wait a day or two to submit it.  Nevermind!  It's 10 WORKING days!  You're all set!
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued
4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)
5/6/2013 - FLR(M)#1 in person -- approved!
8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)

Eta I just checked the gov.uk website and it says 10 working days

Yeah, as soon as I posted my comment, I went to check, and then felt really dumb!  Sorry for that.  I tried to fix it as soon as I could, but it looks like I was too slow.  Really really sorry!  I need to remember to look before I post!

Don't feel dumb. I double checked it in case the council was wrong

You don't need them.  ;)

Trying to remember what I submitted.  Definitely nothing work related.

As I had been in the UK for so long before I applied (work visa before spouse visa), they said that I could choose to apply based on marriage (last 3 years) or on my own (five years).  I did the marriage bit as it's less paperwork.

KF, did you do the online application?? I've just received an email saying they have received my application, but I've not had my ndrs appointment yet to give my supporting documents in (submitted my application Friday) is this normal??

KF was in before they stopped doing joint NCS with JCAP, so she didn't do the online application.  But I'm sure you're on the right track.  The NDRS appointment is within 10 business days, and they'll submit your documents.

Thanks!! Sorry I have jumped on your thread and asked all these questions.

I did have a look this morning on the timeline pages on the immigration boards and they all got the acknowledgement email before submitting docs as well if they did NDRS

No need to apologize!  I'm glad people are forging ahead, so when my husband finally sorts out asking his friend to be my Upstanding Member of Society referee, I'll be ready to do all the rest of the application process.  :)

*sigh* I would like to apply, though.  I may contact the friend myself.

What's his problem!  ;D. Don't let that keep you, definitely ask the friend yourself!
