There is no NHS card - when you register with a GP, you will be sent a letter with your NHS number on it. Some GP surgeries may still issue cards with your number on it, but most don’t.
However, are you sure you mean NHS card? And not something else?
There are a few possibilities:
- BRP card... this is your spousal visa, and you will have been given instructions on which Post Office to pick it up from when you arrived in the U.K.
- NHS number... this is a unique number assigned to you in the NHS computer system when you register with a GP
- NI (National Insurance) Number... you apply for this yourself after you arrive in the U.K., and it is really only needed if you will be working. It’s like a SSN and it makes sure you pay the correct amount of income tax and National Insurance contributions out of your income.
