My bird is back!!!  ;D. I have a beautiful Lesser Black Backed Gull which was hatched on my roof and has come back every year since, after overwintering in warmer climes.

Last year he came home on March 20th... this year almost a full month earlier!   :D

You're getting snow up there? Just rain and windy today here.

Wait, weren't you going to a band competition today? In the snow?

Yeah, up and down the A9. In the snow. Perth was beautiful weather, blue skies. But all snow up here and the way down and back! Bus driver just drove on!  Snowing right now too.

I love the people and the atmosphere up on Scotland (it’s what keeps me visiting!) but I love the weather of the south too much

We have snow and sleet right now. It's miserable out there!

Hubby had a rescheduled eye appointment this morning, as in it was supposed to be the week before and Specsavers called to change it to today... We get there and it was cancelled again. And nobody called about it. He even got the confirmation/reminder texts this week. WTF? I am royally ticked off for him. He's in pain today and it's miserable. We are going to complain to the head office.

The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

At the moment, we just have grey skies, decently strong wind gusts, and scattered rain.  There were a few pockets of sunshine earlier, but the entire sky is looking pretty solidly blah right now.

I would actually love to have a proper winter with proper snow.  (though I don't wish for the associated transport chaos that would certainly ensue with it)

We've still got sleet alternating with snow. When I woke up early this morning there was a dusting of snow on the grass, and it was more or less snowing. Changed back to rain. Then sleet. Then rain AND snow at the same time. Now just rain.

Made sure the Daughter had a bowl of oatmeal with her eggs this morning, and a cup of hot tea before she had to leave for work. It's not a long walk, but when the wind is blowing and it's wet, it can be a miserable one. Fortunately, she's wearing a government-issued lined trenchcoat that is a size too big for her, so it comes down to mid-calf and the sleeves cover her hands. And it's warm. But yuck, not a nice day to have to go outside!

I love the inter-city coaches they have here.  ;D

How did the competition go?

Apparently it is warm enough for my neighbour's grandkids to be out kicking a ball against the fence.
I just hope that more people will ignore the fatalism of the argument that we are beyond repair. We are not beyond repair. We are never beyond repair. - AOC
