JOB INTERVIEW
« on: November 28, 2018, 05:54:59 PM »
YOU GUYS!!!

I have a phone interview for the Natural History Museum (in London!!) tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Finally, after months of rejection letters one of them finally bit. Nothing is set in stone, I could easily not get picked, but it means I'm not being completely overlooked.

AND if nothing comes of it, a local cafe accepted my CV and I had a long chat with the barista and manger, which means I might have a local position if nothing comes of the big one.

I needed this boost. This has been a fantastic week.

Well nuts! My first job here was at a local Spar shop, and in very short order that was followed by multiple job offers. Get working anywhere and keep applying for the big one!

I have a feeling your volunteer work will help you get further the next time :) hopefully the cafe can give you something part time!

Yes, and she was very nice about it. I simply wasn't qualified as much as the other candidates.

It's nice to know that I didn't muck up my first phone interview, and that I just wasn't as qualified as other candidates. However, this  is a real in-person interview!!! I'm so excited/nervous!!!

And, it's local! We won't have to move right away. It's a 6mo contracted position so it isn't permanent but it's a start and that's all I want!
