Cheers, Ksand24! I'll add the school/GP letter bit to my to-do list.

Now, I'm off to borrow a scanner from the in-laws!

Back again! Cruising right on into overthinking territory/overthinking spiral.

1) I've got PDFs of my payslips and I've got my employer writing a letter to authenticate them. Please tell me I don't need to print them out and then rescan them?! ETA payroll manager has offered to print and individually sign each one to go with her letter.

2) My last pay slip is dated 31 January, so realistically as long as I submit my application by Feb 26 I should be within the 28-day period? This just seems too obvious but, see above, re overthinking.

ETA:
3) We've had one lease and one renewal on the same rental property over the last 2.5 years. Both have been signed digitally and we have pdfs for our records. Do we need someone to authenticate this or can I simply upload the pdf copy?

Thanks!

Hi All,
Starting to think about applying for my next visa (Expiry date in April 2020). Right now that is specifically budgeting for it. I can't find anything stating specifically what it will cost in 2020. Is this the most up-to-date resource (29 March 2019)?
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/visa-regulations-revised-table/home-office-immigration-and-nationality-fees-29-march-2019

So from section 6, Leave to remain - Other, £1,033
Health surcharge £400 per year £1,000
Biometric fee £19.20

Any other fees I'm missing?

Also, give me a shout if you also expire in April and we can commiserate together!

Is there one charge of 1,033 and another charge for NHS  1,000 ? On top of the 1,033 ?

Yes.

The visa itself costs £1,033 and then you have to pay £400 per year of the visa towards your NHS treatment for the length of the visa (the IHS surcharge).

The visa is 2.5 years long so you have to pay £400 x 2.5 = £1000 in IHS surcharge, which must be paid in full on application of your visa.

It's both unfortunately. The 1,033 for the visa application fee and the 1,000 for the IHS.

For the months which you don't have joint mail, you should have a piece each for the same month instead.

2- Yes. The most recently dated bank statement and employer letter must also be within the 28 day window.

You have enough mail and more than three sources but can you manage to space it more evenly?

As larrabee said, they need to be spaced more evenly. There needs to be 4 months (give or take a week or two) between each item.

At the moment, you have
November 2019, npower (spouse)
November 2019, credit card bill (me)
.
2 months
.
August 2019, NHS letter, (me)
August 2019, credit card  (spouse)
.
5 months
.
March 2019, council tax bill (both)
.
6 months
.
September 2018, credit card bill (spouse)
September 2018, uni letter (me)
.
3 months
.
June 2018, npower (spouse)
June 2018, NUJ acceptance letter (me)
.
4 months
February 2018, council tax bill (both)

So, you really should have mail from the following months:
Feb 2018
June 2018
Oct 2018
Feb 2019
June 2019
Oct 2019

One more query. We've had one lease with two renewals on the same rental property over the last 2.5 years. All have been signed (by us and the landlords) digitally and all we have are pdfs for our records. Does anyone know, do we need someone to authenticate these at the estate agent or can I simply upload the pdf copies?

Thanks!

I think you can just upload the digital copies, as that's what you were given.  This isn't treated quite the same as payslips (which would need to be authenticated).
9/1/2013 - "fiancée" (marriage) visa issued
4/6/2013 - married (certificate issued same-day)
5/6/2013 - FLR(M)#1 in person -- approved!
8/1/2016 - FLR(M)#2 by post -- approved!
8/5/2018 - ILR in person -- approved!
22/11/2018 - Citizenship (online, with NDRS+JCAP) -- approved!
14/12/2018 - I became a British citizen.  :)

Back with more questions!

Does the company name of who paid in the money on your bank statement (the employer) need to match the company name on the payslips?

It gets trickier still: The payroll manager has sent a letter on COMPANY X letterhead saying, here are your certified payslips, and she's signed and dated each one, January 2020 through July 2019. I don't work for COMPANY X, but they do our payroll.

My HR director has done the employer letter on COMPANY Z letterhead. We used to be COMPANY Y but rebranded last summer. My payslips all say COMPANY Z. My bank statements all show the wages coming in from COMPANY Y, except for September, which says COMPANY Z (the new name). This is odd, but moving on.

So I am going to ask for another letter from the payroll manager to explain:
-why the wages are paid in before the date on the pay slip
-why the name on my bank statement is different for only one of the months (September)
-why the company name on the bank statement doesn't match the payslip name for July, August, October, November, December and January
-why her payroll letter is on a company letter head (COMPANY X) that is not my employer, COMPANY Z

I can't imagine I'm being overly cautious, but I thought I'd check. Thanks!
