@Curby hope you hear something soon! I've heard most MPs are very helpful so might be worth a shot.

I'm in a similar situation as you. I submitted biometrics on 2 February and haven't heard back yet - 15 weeks and counting. I hadn't even considered contacting our MP - I assumed that we would hear the usual "COVID delays" excuse. Has anyone had any joy after contacting their MP? Our MP is Labour so that probably won't help us much either....

You didn't hijack it  :) Keep us updated!

Well, I've just contacted my MP - hopefully will get some traction.  I will let you guys know if/when I hear any update.

P.S. Sorry to hijack this thread! It's just comforting being able to discuss with people in a similar situation!

Just got off the phone with UKVI. Spoke with a representative there and he has sent an escalation through to the application department. Said I would hear from them within 15 working days, if not to ring back. I have a case number as reference. Fingers crossed!

Good luck! That sounds very promising   :D

My MP's office just wrote to me acknowledging my request and has said she should write to the HO this week. So things seem to be happening! I may try that number as well - it can't hurt!

I hope the MP will get you some answers! Very nice rep at UKVI. Sat in quite a long queue and pressing a few options but worth it to get the wheels in motion. I had to have my unique application number, date I applied, name, date of birth and contact information.

Good luck! That sounds very promising   :D

Just now got a response from UKVI...which essentially says nothing.  :-[

Delays were encountered to processing during 2020 and early 2021 due to the impact of the pandemic. We have notified the decision-making team of your outstanding application.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the delay and we are working to conclude your application as soon as possible. Once a decision is made, you will be contacted directly.

In other words, it'll come when it comes. So absolutely infuriating. I'm so over this. I'm actually currently sitting suffering with a flare up with my eye autoimmune disease just now. I haven't had one in 2 years. So done. I just want my visa so I can book a flight end of July to go see my mom.

I just received my decision letter from the Home Office today - it was approved and BRP will follow. Many thanks for suggesting I reach out to my MP. I'm really sorry to hear yours still has not arrived, Kristie! Honestly, what is the point in emailing you to say the obvious that there are delays?! As others have said, hopefully the email means your application has been brought to someone's attention and that a decision is imminent. xx

Thanks, Kristie  :)  Do you know who your MP wrote to? Mine wrote to an Operational Manager at UKVI. I'm curious if it was the same person or of similar seniority.

Stupid question, but is ILR next? If so, does anyone know where is the information on this? The HO website is so confusing. I feel like I'm going in circles.

I'm not sure as he wouldn't tell us. He may but have actually written to anyone.

Yes,  ILR is next. Not sure about the information for it though.
