How long after your wedding did you go on your honeymoon??

We carried our tent and camping gear on our backs.

You know, the people we saw doing that this summer - carrying all their gear on their backs, when we walked the (Yorkshire) Dales Way...they didn't look like they were having fun carrying all that around.

Well, I was the most fit I've ever been in my life! It was also nice to not have to rely on anyone else

Oh I'm not saying you didn't have fun.   Just that the people we saw doing it didn't look they were having fun & we were sure glad that we didn't do that.  I told DH (in the beginning) if he wanted to carry it all for both of us - he was welcome to do so!

Married on a Thursday, went to Barcelona on the Friday.

We're not having a honeymoon, he has to go back to work on Monday (getting married on Saturday), but our friends just bought us a fancy hotel room for the night of the wedding so maybe that can be a mini-honeymoon.

Getting married November 3rd and probably won't get to have a 'proper' honeymoon til January.  I think some distance from the madness of the actual day (both families meeting for the first time; the stress that comes with trying to make things perfect) will let us enjoy it much more. 

2 days after the first wedding.  We were lucky, though.  There's no extra charge to stop in Hawaii for a while when you're going from NA to Japan.
