We carried our tent and camping gear on our backs.

You know, the people we saw doing that this summer - carrying all their gear on their backs, when we walked the (Yorkshire) Dales Way...they didn't look like they were having fun carrying all that around. ???

(We used a luggage transport service. ;))
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

Well, I was the most fit I've ever been in my life! It was also nice to not have to rely on anyone else :)

Oh I'm not saying you didn't have fun. :)  Just that the people we saw doing it didn't look they were having fun & we were sure glad that we didn't do that.  I told DH (in the beginning) if he wanted to carry it all for both of us - he was welcome to do so! ;)

LOL! My DH ended up carrying way more than his share  ;)

We're not having a honeymoon, he has to go back to work on Monday (getting married on Saturday), but our friends just bought us a fancy hotel room for the night of the wedding so maybe that can be a mini-honeymoon.

Getting married November 3rd and probably won't get to have a 'proper' honeymoon til January.  I think some distance from the madness of the actual day (both families meeting for the first time; the stress that comes with trying to make things perfect) will let us enjoy it much more.

2 days after the first wedding.  We were lucky, though.  There's no extra charge to stop in Hawaii for a while when you're going from NA to Japan.
