Even with no stamps? I never even get my fingerprints checked anymore. :-(

Yep, just the passport is all you need.

They can check your travel history in their computer system if they need to.

Thank you. That's what they had said whenever I asked at the airport (so I've been going off this assumption), but then the gov website still says that Americans go through e-gates but your BRP card and fingerprints will get checked. And that doesn't happen, except by the airline at check in. Thanks so much :-)

Just popping in to say that I submitted my evidence Jan 18 and received my invitation to my citizenship ceremony  April 20th!
Unfortunately I'll be away for the date they offered, but my local council is sending a new date on Thursday.

So very nearly there now!

Hey folks - for those that have applied recently....has anyone been in a situation where your employment information does not fit neatly into the 1 entry that they provide for you? Either have multiple jobs or aren't employed. I didn't think it would be an issue as there is no income requirement. Also - they want your tax reference number. Is this the employer's PAYE reference number or my national insurance number?

(PS) this is going off looking through the paper application for the channel islands as I've not started the online in-country application yet, so if this doesn't show up in the online application, please do let me know :-) Thanks.

It is 7 months and 1 week since biometrics and 1 month and 1 week informing us that there had been an IT problem.  Our application was straight forward.

Our local MP has a drop in surgery on Friday.  Will it do any good to see him?

It can't hurt. And at least you'll be doing something which has to help the way you feel.

We just received notification directly from our County Council yesterday that my husband's citizenship application had been successful, and inviting us to a ceremony (the application was decided in 6 weeks which absolutely floored us).

However like several other people have mentioned, we have not had a letter (email or post) from the Home Office to confirm this.

I have asked the citizenship officer about this and await a reply, they seemed to indicate you needed to bring that Home Office letter when you attend the ceremony. Hopefully it won't be a problem, but would appreciate anyone else's experiences with this?

Just to add, I've logged in to the application itself but all that shows is the "further actions" screen, nothing there to indicate a decision or status.

I visited our MP and he has now asked the ministerial complaints team to investigate.

Tomorrow it will be 7 and a half months since biometrics.

Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

Keep your chin up - they will figure the problem out and resolve it.
We experienced some problems too, they always get them straightened out.

Good luck

Thank  you for your encouraging words mbmoffat!

Your template is the gold standard for reference when applying for ILR and Citizenship.  Thanks so much for your support.
