Let us know how you get on.  I was going to get one of the gevalias for my parents, but not if it costs so much for the pods.

Liza, if you want to take a picture of a pod to show us what it looks like.  Might be similar.

Just so you know - I didn't pay $75 or whatever it was, for the brewer.  They had (may have still) a membership thing where you get the brewer, and two or three boxes of pods (I don't remember), for only $25.  It was a great deal.  I love the brewer, but it does tend to "spit" a bit when it's brewing.  But it's perfect for Simon and me because we are not huge coffee drinkers.

I need to download some photos from the weekend anyway, so if I remember this week I'll take a photo of a pod and put it out here.

Thanks!!

Oh I know.  I've gotten the emails for it, which is why I want to get it for them.  Great deal!

UGH!!
If you're using a Senseo coffee maker, *dont* put Liquid Coffee Mate in it!
It makes the crema layer disappear, and changes the whole mouth-feel....  totally disgusting and a waste of a good Senseo pod!  >:(

Funny this one popped back up again!

I did finally get a look at the Senseo pods.  They are made differently than the Gevalia pods, in that they are bulgey underneath, and the Gevalia pods are more flat.  So I'm not brave enough to try them and then have a whole bunch I can't use.  I've canceled my subscription with Gevalia, so I am on the hunt for other pods a can use, especially flavored decaf coffee.  Hard to find!!
