Last night, hubby took me to the wine bar/bistro (just steps) down the street from us...had giant prawns as a starter, beef bourguignon with mash & veg ratatouille on the side.  He also had the prawns, and then salmon fillet with really yummy potatoes (they were really buttery & I think had saffron in them) & spring greens.  Mmmmmmm!!  Think we've found our new favorite restaurant...the food's good, it's a wine bar -- we can eat & drink to our heart's content, then just walk a very short way to our house (50 yards or less) & fall right into bed. :)

We love popping in for a bottle of wine once in awhile, but this was the first time we tried out the restaurant bit.  Also, they have a neat patio for when the weather is nice!  Definitely taking the in-laws there when they come to visit.

It's the weekend so hubby takes over the kitchen!  Last night -- souvlaki in pitas with yummy Greek yogurt.  Tonight -- sausages & jerk chicken cooked on our brand spanking new BBQ grill. ;D

Tonight was 'clean out the fridge' pasta night. ;)   (Pasta with scraps & bits of leftover veg from the fridge, plus a tin of plum tomatoes, a tin of Sainsburys Yellowfin tuna steak & seasonings -- garnished with black olives & grated parm.  And a side salad.)

Hubs said it was good.  I couldn't be fussed to do much more -- have a hurty twisted ankle & a sore throat.
