For many reasons, some personal, some work related, I have had a really, really, hard week, I've been trying to hold it together but have been less/more successful at different times of the week.

So today, I rewarded myself with a new dress, it is swoon worthy.

*swoon*

*double swoon*

:D

Do describe! You always have the best clothes.  :)

I tried to get a picture but the website is down :(

It's grey with a large graphic floral print, and is galaxy pencil shaped but with long sleeves, (low cut square neck) and has a two button strap across the shoulders at the back, small amount of cut out back (just a little, as I am a fatty) then has boning to the waist to nip me in.

I know it was a good choice as when the boy saw me in it he said "Oh, hello!" which is a big complement from him :P

I woke up this morning, checked the weather and found that it's only going to be 72F today. Sweet sassy molassy! Roll on Fall!  :D

Turned on my radio at bedtime the other night to the local classical music station (WCRB) and discovered they were broadcasting the Last Night of the Proms!!

Sorry!  :) I have to say, I'd much rather bundle up and hustle to the PATH station to keep warm than leave 10 minutes earlier so that I can slowly proceed to the station to avoid sweating profusely!  ;D

Only thing I'm not looking forward to is cold feet. Dang things never stay warm no matter what I do.

Yesterday afternoon the doorbell rang. I glanced through the door window and saw someone with a huge motorcycle helmet on!  :o Opened the door to find my friend from my old daily bus commute standing there with her new motor scooter in the driveway!! (She's 52!) We had some tea and caught up.

I got a job!!!  A real job!!!

It's the same job I'd interviewed for back in October last year.  But they guy they hired then left a couple months ago.  So I decided to reapply, and yay!  Totally unexpected though.  In fact, I wouldn't even listen to the voicemail when I got it, because I was sure it was bad news, and I just didn't want to deal with it.

So, very pleasantly surprised.

Congrats!  It seems so hard to find a job these days so I know how happy you must be!

Mine is finding a donation at work that made me giggle and cheered me up when I was stressed and worried.  I was pulling stuffed animals out of the giant green bucket we keep them in and out came a calico cat wearing a black and white striped t-shirt and a little sailor's cap!  "Well, hell-lloo sailor!".

Saw a dress in the window of French connection, figured I would not be able to afford or they wouldn't have it in my size. Turned out to be a LE for London Fashion week so was only £40. yay. They had 3 less, one was in my size, double yay!

I hope no one makes the mistake of underestimating what an enormous achievement this is, living out in the Western Isles, where there are very, very few jobs.   (From someone who was nearly forced to live on Islay!  ;) )

Well done Woadgrrl!
