My first meal Frank made for me when I was here one weekend before we were married was chicken tonight with flat bread. I was sleeping while he was cooking and i thought he made it from scratch. I was so impressed!

Aside from barbecues, Guy's big meal is a full roast chicken dinner. He's actually pretty good!! And he gets way less stressed out about timing things than I do.

LOL! Amy got me thinking, my first meal was a bacon, egg and cheese roll after a boozy night out!  Cheese on a bacon/egg was SO exotic to me 9 years ago ::)

LOL, the first meal I had with Rich was in town (Not one that he made)  We went to a local place on the High Street and I got a cheese sarnie,  Worst meal EVER!!!  Most of the cheese was not cooked and fell out of the bread.  Not a good first impression I'd say.

He makes up for it with a delicious Roast with all the trimmings as well as a killer Full English Breakfast

The thought of Beans on Toast makes me gag!  Maybe with the cheese on it too might be OK ;)

No amount of cheese could make me eat beans on toast - I hate them with a passion, even the smell! I was so surprised (and amused) to find you guys like them so much!  It's annoying because they are so cheap and pretty healthy.

Killer full english - now you are talking- I am going out for the biggest one I can find on my last day here  ;D

You are right, skip the beans and toast bring on the cheese!

Come on over, Rich should not have to work on the weekends around that time!  It really is good!  He will even do fried bread on request.

We usually have some veggie sausages in the house.  No tomatoes though, I don't like them cooked.

Ooh onto the "perfect cooked breakfast thread"

Eggs (sunny side up)
Bacon (semi crispy)
Mushrooms (in butter, lots of )
Sausages (I like herby ones)
Saute Potatoes/home fries with lots of black pepper on
1 slice toast (for egg spillage on top)
1 slice bread/butter for bacon/egg sarnie

*tummy now rumbling*

The first meal my hubby cooked for me was a traditional Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding.

We had just met (living in Chicago) the week before and I was taking my grandpa away for the weekend to visit some eldery relatives.  Tony suggested that if I wasn't too tired when I returned on Sunday, please join he and a few friends at his place for a traditional English roast.

So I got back and he called me.  I said sure and the meal was fantastic!  There were six people at his place in total and was so impressed that he put together this huge meal!  There was tons of washing up which he refused to do that night, so I offered to come around the next evening after work to help clean up.   ;)

Many months later after we were dating steadily, he confessed that he never had the dinner planned.  But when I said yes, he called a bunch of people at the last minute to come around because he met this girl, etc., etc., etc. !!!!!
