Now that they actually managed (two days after class was due to start) to finally have a time table sorted out... class is going fine.  :-)

I have a new research proposal due next week and have already changed my topic three times.

Any other post grads out there in European based studies?

There is a conference at Kings College in London for postgrads on Nov. 14th if anyone is interested.  PM me and I will send the details.

I'm baaaaaack!  I just got reliable internet access today!  i've been attending classes for almost a month for the Law (LLB) degree at the University of Manchester.

1.  I love the school.
2.  I hate banks, both in the US and the UK
3.  I can finally understand what people are saying to me, excepting my Scottish contract law teacher.
4.  I was finally able to pay my tuition two days ago!
5.  See number 2.

hope everyone is settling in!
had a bit of a wobble.

I finally started on Monday. My heart isn't really in it, but I think that's only because I'm a tad irritated that I had to switch to part-time last year - I wanted to be finished by now.  :-\\\\ But nonetheless I have one class on Monday mornings each term and my dissertation. This term will be interesting, next term looks a tad boring to be honest.... My biggest challenge will be working full-time while trying to finish! Yikes!

OK, so this thread is turning into the "scary essay" thread, is it? My best one from last term was: how Useful is Representational Redescription in interpreting how a child responds to their world or something like that.  ::) I got a B. I couldn't tell you what Representational Redescription is now.  ;)

I'll swap you for a marketing case study on UK higher education!  It's also due Tuesday, and I haven't a clue yet.  I did subscribe to the Times Higher Ed Supplement though.  Does that count as research?

Uni is going good for me, I feel like I have to study more here, despite having less class time.

Some of the professors are frustrating as hell because they are so disorganized, and the University system here seems so archaic and disorganized.
