Oh noes!  >:( Please get it checked out ASAP, whatever you have to do, even if that means going to a walk-in surgery or something. Boob infections and such can get out of hand quickly and make you really ill if you don't start treatment straight away. Obviously, I know this from experience, so please don't ignore this and wait the 5 days until you get home.  :-[ :-\\\\

I will :) I'm looking for a walk in now, and hopefully will be able to go tomorrow. I just hate being ill away from lovely GP and comfortable hospital I know really well, but can't leave work at the moment.

Should probably not attempt DIY surgery to drain it with my diabetes kit right? :P :D

Ha! That's pretty off-label use!  :) :P

Don't blame you about being away from your GP- hope it feels better soon :)

NHS walk in told me they didn't deal with breast lumps and I needed to see my GP :(

I told her it wasn't like, an ordinary breast lump but an infection, cyst, painful lump but mean receptionist insisted :( Very sad right now as it's quite painful. Hopefully will resolve itself before I can get back to London.

That is rubbish.  I had a boob infection about 2 years ago and went to a walk in clinic.  Boooo!  I hope you feel better soon or it holds out until you get back.

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Pobrecita CB!  Feel better soon.

My IA is that I'm up at 4:30 a.m. wide awake, no chance of getting back to sleep.  Plus, I have a dry hacking cough that likely kept poor boy up half the night.  Good thing he's off work for three days, lovely thing even offered to drive to Asda at 2:30 a.m. to get me cough syrup  [smiley=smitten.gif]

It's an odd cough.  No phlegm and I feel fine otherwise.  I'm thinking maybe I encountered an allergen on the plane, or in our new flat?

Get thee to A&E! Like Jewlz said this is NOT something to ignore. I had painful mastitis a few years ago and ended up being on anti B's for weeks before it finally cleared up and you really don't want to go through what J is going through right now. As much of a pain it might be to go and sit & wait to be seen this is not something to ignore till you can get home.

Hmmm.  It's ragweed season around here--could be that?  Def get yourself some cough suppressant and load up on vitamin C.
