Oh glad they've seen to you.  I had a root canal about a year or so ago and it really wasn't all that bad (like you hear).  The endodontist was very nice and explained everything exactly and let me have little breaks.  It was in a tooth that was already crowned so I did have to go back to the regular dentist eventually and get a new crown.  But what a relief!
Yeah, not so bad.  I had one done maybe 14 years ago and I was never so happy to sit in the dentist's chair!  The pain from the infection was so bad, I was like, "Root canal?  Bring it on!".  It felt *good* compared to the pain.

I'm still in a lot of pain--the paracetamol / ibuprofen thing wears off before the next dose is due, but once these antibiotics kick in, the infection should go down, and the pain should decrease as well.  I'm hoping, because 14 years ago the antibiotics didn't work fast enough and I got really swollen and almost passed out and had to burst into my dentist's office where he saw to me right away (thank god!).

Sorry to go on so much you guys, but it's a good outlet for griping, this thread!

Andee - I'm glad they've been able to see you and hope the antibiotics start working soon.

CB - I hope you get into your GP asap.

Bmore - I can completely relate to the picky cat.  We ran out of cat food and the big one is fine with the emergency stock of kitten food but the kitten, who will eat anything human food wise, won't touch it. Hubby's had to do an emergency Tesco run to get something he will eat (and ice cream).

That's ridiculous! :( Wednesday is almost a week away. You would think they would want you in ASAP. Sorry darling!

I was uncharacteristicly upset when he rang :/ But he did call me himself and say sorry, and that he wanted to see me directly and he's sure he'll be back on Wednesday (and he should know right?)

To cap off what has been a righteously awful week, I woke up with a sore inner ear, I have no idea if this is related or if I'm developing an ear infection in that ear.

Miserable! :(

Sorry to be on a tirade rant, but one of the guys I'm working with (studio) has just blatantly lied to save himself over an issue and simultaneously throw me under a bus. Luckily my boss didn't believe him, came over and asked me about it and because I have OCD I had the entire thing documented. Thank god for email archives!

But seriously, I have a twitchy eye, I can only taste metal, a pounding headache, everything smells of plastic and I have ear pain, don't freaking mess with me today!  >:(

Huggss CB I hope today gets better and the walk-in will do something!

My IA: Was sending a package - I already weighed and printed the label and paid for postage - it had a bar code already...All I had to do was pop it in the post right?
I get to the post office ask where I can drop it off and they say you have to wait in line as it needs to be "franked?" I am like it is ready to go...So I stood in line for 15 min for them to weigh it and say xyz and I said yes this is done...they take the package <eyeroll>
When I say there is a barcode, its paid for trust me I am not an idiot

Huge Hugs CB! Sorry this has been such an awful week for you! Hopefully your symptoms are just as a result of a sinus or other infection and can be cleared up easily. I'd be phoning the GP back and asking if there is another GP that is covering or go to A&E ASAP as a walk in clinic will only refer you back to your GP.

I have a couple:

1. The soup I had for lunch was called, 'Chicken and chive'. It didn't taste like chicken or chives. It tasted like watery, pureed, carrots.  [smiley=puke.gif]

2. I sent my nephew's birthday present last week with plenty of time so it would arrive by his birthday on Monday. He still hasn't received it. I sent a check to my mom last week to be deposited so I can pay some student loans. She still hasn't received it. One comes out automatically, so that's not going to work.
