Husband just sent me an excited text:  Yay!  There is snow on top of Ingleborough - winter is here!

 >:(

Tell him it's even better in the Lakes!:

One of my new coworkers just negated all of my progress today by stomping all over my code (with his own). For no reason.

To add insult to injury, the system gives out "points" for how good your code is. Because both he and I added new code within the same X minutes, I got points (-654 of them) for his giant piece of crap code. I should have gotten +100 or something instead.

Sigh. So much for motivation for the rest of the afternoon (not to mention progress, as I have to figure out how to fix this before I can get anything else done).

I think it's a mix of a cold and my TotM. It made for a very restless night's sleep, and results in me sitting here in immense pain feeling nauseated. But I don't want to call in sick because I have things that I need to do. Plus I have an hour and a half of my planning tiime today, which I could really use.

Dunno if I'm gonna make it though. :(

I have 'Oh, What a Beautiful Morning' in my head. Thanks, NPR.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Sorry  :( :(
:(

It got a bit better. I wasn't supposed to see DH tonight (he is going to a concert), but he wound up stopping home first to change! So I got a cuddle at least.
