I just got back -- didn't get around to eating ALL of the stuff I wanted, I just couldn't eat that much! After being away, IHOP and Carrabbas were kind of disappointing in taste -- didn't seem as good as I remembered.

The best meals out I had were Mexican food from just a local restaurant (in Kansas) owned & operated by Mexican-Americans (God bless Mexican immigrants to the USA!) and a dinner we had in a microbrewery/restaurant in downtown Chattanooga, TN -- think I had some kind of gourmet meatloaf there and DH had a killer jambalaya. Also, Greek food in Tarpon Springs, FL (a Greek community). My brother made some great (big!) breakfasts when we stayed with him & his wife -- they sort of tend toward a South Beach/Atkins style diet, so lots of steak, eggs, sausage, chillies -- breakfast burrito type stuff.
What I brought back: sandhill plum jelly from Kansas (childhood memory kind of thing), two boxes of Triscuit (regular & rosemary flavored), one box of graham crackers, Cholula hot sauce, and a few packs of whole dried chillies (Ancho chillies and hot New Mexican chillies). And some Cracklin' Oat Bran for a UKY friend who has become obsessed with thinking about it...
