I am always amazed at how many websites there are that will ship you American food.

Kraft mac and cheese £2 plus s/h... what a deal!  :o

Maybe I'm naive or something (or just cheap), but most of that stuff exists in some form in the UK and it's good as well.  Okay, maybe not some REAL obscure things and maybe not always the particular brand you want, but who buys 10 pounds of Gold Medal flour, especially at that price?   :o  And why is that superior to any British flour?  I'm sure I must be missing something here.
If you don't know where you're going, it doesn't matter what road you take.

Just for when we get a craving for kraft mac n cheese, or grape jelly, or stovetop stuffing, or hamburger helper, (used to love that!) or A&W root beer.....yes, some of these can be duplicated here, and some you just cant get, like grape jelly.

I found a couple of other online food sites that specialize in American  and Mexican food products for those who miss their favorite products.  Here they are:

I actually found cream of wheat here once, only problem is, the store doesn't always carry it. Bread and butter pickles.........YUM!

It's an asian grocery. I've found saltines and oreos there as well, but not always.

I'm looking for a few things I can't find:

half and half - is half cream the equivalent?  My husband says it goes bad in 3 days after opening, but that wasn't the case in the US...so I'm thinking it might be different

stuffing - the stuffing here seems to be different.  I'm thinking I may just make it from scratch for Thanksgiving...

I'm sure there are other things.  Someone mentioned Skinny Cow earlier - LOVE IT!!!  I have to look for that in Waitrose as we live right near one.  For those frozen yogurt lovers, don't you love Tasti Di Lite???  I miss that !!!  And for those of you from Boston - how about JP Licks?????  At least it's a bit cold for it now (but living in the NYC area, I used to eat it in the winter too!!!!)

Has anyone seen mozzarella sticks (or any cheese sticks, really) in London?  I've looked online through Waitrose's and Tesco's inventories but there isn't anything it.  The American food importers don't seem to sell 'em either - is it because they're a frozen food?

I in Edinburgh, not London, but they carry mozzerella sticks at the Co-op around the corner from me.

I think that I saw stuffing at ASDA...of all places! But if you can't find it, I have a really great, easy recipe. Let me know if you want it.

Also, those of you who were missing the white albacore tuna, I got turned on to the Starkist albacore tuna in the packets (rather than the cans) before I left.  There is no liquid inside, so the tuna comes out a lot firmer and flakier.  It doesn't weigh much and is fairly flat, so my mom tosses a couple of packets in when she sends an envelope out my way.
