I think nostalgic lies is next, with 2 days, then Andrea, with 6.

eeep! Almost three days left!  I started packing today (go me!) and I have most of my clothes packed.  Just a few odds and ends left, and I still have approx 30 lbs of weight across both suitcases to fill up!  Then I have to pack the rest of the miscellaneous stuff and the rest of the clothes, and on Wednesday I'll put my carryon together and pack all but the most essential toiletries.  Then everything's packed after I get dressed the next day and I leave for the airport at approximately 11am Thursday morning!

I'm flying Houston--->Atlanta--->Manchester.  So excited!

Safe trip Andrea, and everyone else flying this September!

I made it, BA was fab I had 2 seats to myself and after a nice dose of Tylenol PM and some red wine Zeusy99 put herself into a nice coma.  I slept for 90% of the trip and, of course my bags were the last to get off the little roudabout thingy, and immigration was a snap.  They asked me twice when I was getting married (don't ask me that I will tell you 100 other things about my wedding you don't want to hear).  (OK yes Carries you were right it was a snap)

Happy flying to everyone else.

zeusy - Congrats on arriving safe and sound. A lot of other people on this thread are probably still in transit. Today is my last day with a computer, so I will post again after I arrive in the UK next week. We are running around like crazy today trying to pack the last of our things before the movers come tomorrow, of course, that is hard with 2 little ones, and no babysitter! Well, anyway, I hope all goes as smoothly for us entering the UK and I will talk to you all when I arrive in the Uk on the 13th! HOORAY!

zeusy -- yay!  I'm glad you made it over safely.  Next is the countdown to your wedding!   

Thanks everyone, the count down to the wedding is on.  We had a discussion with out dessert caterer on Monday and everything seems to be coming out nicely, we are finalizing everything else tonight.  My future MIL and I tried out all the decorations yesterday and added ribbons and other things where they needed added.  It is all so nice I still can't believe it is for Roy and I!

Carrie-How are you doing??  Getting excited?

I'm hanging in here.  Getting so impatient.  My job sucks.  Nothing's working.  But, on the upside, my boss is at a conference for my whole last week.  Meaning I have two days left with him!     Friday, my best friend and I driving to Michigan to visit my college roommate (my friend's SIL - they married brothers).  Then I just have one more weekend left.  (As an aside, I just watch a 1st season episode of Saved by the Bell - how funny that they used to seem sooooo cool )

Kristen - Glad to hear that you're settling in.  How is the wedding planning going with the future MIL?  Is it easier now that you're actually there? 

mrskreme - I know you won't read this, but I hope that you have a smooth few last days and an easy trip.

I just got back from my roadtrip to Michigan.  It was fun, and I am so glad that I decided to go.  It was also very distracting.  I realized when we got in the car to come home that I have entered my final countdown.  Less than 9 days, and no more trips or big to-dos planned.  Just hanging out and waiting. 

I take the pets for their health certificates tomorrow morning.  I'm quite nervous about getting their paperwork in order - especially since I MUST have the paperwork back for my 10am appointment next Monday.  Yikes! 

And I haven't finished editing my thesis (or collected data).  Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..........

There were a few people who posted they were counting down early in the thread, then never came back.    Oh, and zeusy is still counting down to her wedding on the 30th.  But as for actually leaving here and going there...I think it's just you and I!

I'm at 50 days left as of tomorrow.  I STILL feel so unprepared!   

Hehe...I started looking back through the beginning of the thread, to find out if there was anyone else.  Found the posts from various people celebrating reaching the 100 day mark.

At the end of this month I'm going on a road trip with my baby sister.  We're going to go over to the western side of the state, go around the area where we grew up (I haven't really been back since I was 16...though I have been *through* it on the bus).  We're also going to see our little sister at college.  It'll be the last time I see either of them for quite awhile, so I'm looking forward to it...but it'll also be a bit hard.  Pretty sure the youngest one won't be able to make the wedding, but the middle one might.  Well, Ste and I will make it back to the US to visit before too long, though. 

My DH & I are counting down till we leave for our trip home to see my family on Sept 16TH for 2 weeks.  yippie im getting so excited I can barely contain myself. lookout Walmart shoppers Im on my way!! the only bad thing about us going home is I will miss Kristen & Roy's Wedding. well I hope everyone else who travels this a month a safe trip. also those of you moving over here I hope you settle in without any problems. goodluck with all your pet paperwork Carrie im sure you will have no problems. I wud tell you its a breeze but we had someone do all the paperwork to my cats over here.

shugga - Have a good trip.  I'm jealous that you're leaving before me.  I just want the whole moving thing to be over.

Candice - That's fantastic that you're doing the sister roadtrip.  I almost didn't bother going out to MI this past weekend, and I realize now that it would have been a huge mistake and I would have regretted not going.  So go, and have a blast. 

I got the APHIS form done this morning.  And I sent my paperwork to the USDA vet in Albany.  I tried to get FedEx to let me enclose a pre-paid envelope, but they wouldn't.  I had to fill out the paperwork and put my credit card number on the airbill.  What else could I do?  I need that stuff ASAP.  She also made me use a "reusable" envelope instead of just including a 2nd one, folded, inside and pay for the extra weight.  So I hope that the USDA people realize this when they open things.  I seriously doubt they will - I'm sure the envelope is going straight in the bin when they open it.  I just hope they get it back to me by this weekend.  I need those forms for our tick and tapeworm treatment next Monday morning.  Oh, I really can't screw this part up because there is no time to make it better.

That's all, I guess.  Just sort of venting.  And panicking.  Mostly panicking.

I leave tomorrow (Tuesday eve)!    It's been so hectic that I haven't had the chance to post on here lately. At first when I was saying goodbye to all my friends and family I was really sad. Now I'm just ready to get on with it! Carrie, best of luck with the vet stuff. I'll be dealing with that when I come back over Christmas. It's honestly been the most confusing part of the move. It'll be worth it in the end!
