1. Have been told (after consultation) the Retirement Party for the six of us from my library will be held on 8 June. Should be a big do.

2. Have been asked for suggestions for my GIFT! Don't know how much they spend but it's usually pretty substantial -- more than a coffee mug!

3. [If I'm allowed another go] We got Maxwell's claws trimmed last night!!  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

It should be fun deciding on suggestions.  ;D That way you are sure to get something you want or need.

1. Our plans for this weekend have changed. We are postponing the castle and heading to a beer festival with a group. The guys have hinted that it could get messy. Cue sensible me who will get tipsy but not drunk.... but tends to get a bit camera crazy.  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

2. As I mentioned in the UP thread, I discovered mini atomic fireballs exist over here. JOY!

1. My horrible spring cold is finally gone and DH's is almost gone.

2. DH is actually willing to consider a little holiday (haven't had a REAL holiday since October 1993). He won't travel outside the UK of course, but at least he's not dismissing the whole idea.  ;)
Married December 1992 (my 'old flame' whom I first met in the mid-70s)
1st move to UK - 1993 (Letter of Consent granted at British Embassy in Washington DC)
ILR - 1994 (1 year later - no fee way back then!)
Back to US in 2000
Returned to UK July 2011 (Spousal Visa/KOL endorsement)
ILR - September 2011
Application for naturalization submitted July 2014
Approval received 15-10-14; ceremony scheduled for 10 November!
Passport arrived 25 November 2014. Finally done!

1. fresh clean sheets on the bed, plus the electric blanket on, warming everything up.
2.  Scottish-style 'kerry-oot' tonight in the flat with me and HB... just enjoying each other's company.

1. No ill effects today from last night's beer festival outing that ended up as a five pub crawl on the way to the festival.

2. We had lunch out today at a pub (with cola, no beer), and I had the brunch burger. Mmm... a hamburger with bacon and a fried egg on it.

2. As I was waiting for the bus this morning in the rain, DS pulled up and drove me all the way to work! He must have woken up just after I left the house.
