I'm not doing it myself, but not because it's scary.  There's really nothing dangerous going on, she's wearing a harness and there's a person belaying her.  She's doing it for her Duke of Edinburgh award and I'm proud of her.

I also had a short interest in skydiving. Did one jump with a round army surplus parachute and landed in the woods.  Unbelievably, I went back for more and did two jumps with modern style parachutes before deciding that there was no way I was going to pull a rip cord and I was not getting less terrified.

For a very short time, I dated a guy who used to BASE jump. He was a maniac! He'd always just have jumped off some building downtown....

Holy Cow, those dudes are actually nuts.  I  read a book about some of those guys, jumping off the Barbican and such.  The only people crazier are wingsuit flyers.  Did this guy have a claim to fame that I might know about, other than dating you?

Nothing special that I knew of. This was a long time ago in Los Angeles. I don't even remember his name now!  ;D

Still, you should be proud that a date with you was as exciting as jumping off a building!

1.  I had a third interview yesterday for the job in Waterloo.  Saw the CEO and COO this time.  There will still be at least one more round.  I do not want to do that commute daily but I really like the job.  I'm going to seriously start thinking about what I want to ask for if I'm offered the job.  (days from home, flex hours, etc.).

2.  The laundry pile has gone down after Vomit-fest 2017 but some serious Lysoling needs to occur in a few places.

3.  When my husband was home sick on Wednesday (but feeling better), we tackled cleaning the guest room.  It's been in shambles since we were getting ready for the baby last year!  Sooooo nice to have that room pretty again.  Only took the two of us 40 minutes to get it nice again.... not sure why I've put that off for so long!

4.  Next, we tackle the airing cupboard.  Exciting times in this house people!!

5.  My daughter is trying a class this morning called Mini Professors.  I have high hopes that it will be fun and she'll learn!

Glad Vomit-Fest 2017 has passed KFDancer. No fun!

Happy Friday!

1.) Doing the bonfire/fireworks thing tomorrow night [smiley=balloon.gif]

2.) Board games and beer with BIL and his partner afterwards  [smiley=drunk.gif]

3.) I too need to clean the spare rooms in my house.   :-\\\\

4.) Poor chickens are having to go to bed so early now at this time of year (and gets worse and worse through December), so we don't see them when we get home.  Poor things.  When they wake up in the morning, they're squawking like mad to see us.  Chickens are so funny and social!  [smiley=smitten.gif]

5.)  Got a new computer at work yesterday.  My old one was about 4 years out of date and ran like treacle.  Amazing that I could actually log on this morning in about 30 seconds, instead of 15 minutes!  [smiley=computer.gif]
I've never gotten food on my underpants!

1.  Really crap day at work.
2.  Home now, with a Chinese takeaway and a cup of tea with a very large measure of brandy in it!
3.  Mr is at Carlisle Beer Festival today.
4.  Going to Ikea tomorrow.
5.  The new Simply Be catalogue came through the door today...the one with all the fancy, sparkly Christmas party outfits.  Not one single thing in it that I would wear... ugly, horrible, trashy, disappointing.

1.  I've been out two nights in a row.  I'm tired.  Kids don't care if you've been out and wake up early anyways.   ::)

2.  I've found myself looking a lot at kittens this week.

3.  I have a massage booked this afternoon.  Count down has begun.  Only 7 hours to go!

4.  We've started watching a movie on Friday night after we put the kids down.  No idea for tonight.  Any suggestions?

5.  I organised the airing cupboard yesterday.  My life is soooo exciting!   ::)

1.  My husband is home tonight!  Super YAY!  I'm looking forward to letting him take over all this strenuous physical labour crap.

2.  I have accomplished an amazing amount of work this week, and my body is "thanking" me for it.  Just sitting up this morning was painful.  And I still have more work to do today.  And tomorrow.

3.  The desks are looking great.  Pictures probably Monday night, when they are assembled and in place.  Maybe Tuesday.

4.  Last night for dinner, I opened an emergency tin of soup, unceremoniously dumped it into a giant Pyrex mixing bowl, zapped it, and ate it like it was the last food on earth.  I'm ashamed of how much I enjoyed it.

5.  Tonight we're having potato pierogi and sausage bites (we chop pork sausage into bite-size pieces, then pan fry them 'til they are browned on all sides and cooked through).  It is so unhealthy, but after this week, I do not care.  I eat mine dipped in Stokes chili ketchup.

Happy Friday!

1.) Playing a Remembrance Day concert in the Cathedral tomorrow night.  Should be good. :)

2.)  Need to collect some seaweed for fertiliser this weekend.   [smiley=daisy.gif]

3.)   Had a bacon, hash brown & brown sauce sandwich from the canteen for breakfast and it was yummy! [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

4.) F*&$ng open plan offices. This one I'm in we're crammed in like sardines too.  Tiny desks and not much room.  Everyone on top of each other.  So loud. So many people.   So annoying.   I cannot concentrate.  I've got deadlines!  >:( [smiley=computer.gif] [smiley=end.gif] [smiley=behead.gif]

5.) Ordered hubby rice milk mozzarella the other day, (it melts like real cheese!) so we're having homemade pizza tonight.  Lots of beers in the fridge with my name on them.   O0

Pizza!  We still haven't even opened the boxes that our pizza oven came in.  And, of course, we don't have a real oven.  So, we haven't had pizza yet.  We've just been so busy with these f#@*&^ing desks.  I'm looking forward to having this job done so we can enjoy life again.

Have fun tomorrow night!  I bet you'll sound amazing in a cathedral!

Are you kidding?  We had home made pizza the other night and I was consumed with jealousy for your pizza oven.

I was convinced to buy some random jar of tomato sauce and it was sweet as candy!  It completely defiled the homemade pizza I had been planning all week.

PB, can you please report back on the cheese?  Keep in mind I'm only about six months dairy free so I know what the real stuff tastes like.   ;)

KFDancer, I've had it before and it's honestly quite nice.  It melts like real cheese. Tastes mild like mozzarella too, but slightly cheesy.
OK, it's never going to be the real thing, but if you can't have the real thing, it's brilliant.  Hubby's favourite pizza cheese going.
