KoD, I'm so sad to read your five.  You sound so deflated compared to your normal self.  I wish there was something we could do for you.  But I know that the only thing that's going to fix this is your ILR coming through.  This situation sucks, and I'm really sorry.
PB, have fun with the STEM thing, the gardening, and the chicken-proofing, amd good luck with the championships.  How long 'til the competition?
KF!  Have a great trip!  Take lots of pictures of the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique experience, and, well, everything!    My fingers are crossed for that empty seat.
My five:
1. On Monday I had an asthma clinic and GP appointment which both went well (still in the respiratory medicine practice at the hospital next week).
2.  After my GP appointment, I stopped at the desk on my way out to ask for my personal records back from the US that the doctor assured me he just wanted to look over and would give right back... two years ago.  Learned they've been integrated into their records and they refused to even consider giving them back to me until I filled out a data request on myself, then said it would take time to copy... and I'm picturing them handling the 44 year old typing paper that is my post-surgical note, and freaking out.  I might have cried real tears.  I left saying I'd be back and they better take very good care of those documents because they're MINE and never should have ended up with them in the first place.  Things got ugly, but I phoned back on Wednesday and I will be collecting
something on Monday.
3. Tuesday next week, I'm going to see if the GP surgery in another town is taking new patients.  "Mine" has made far too many mistakes, and I'm done.
4. Also on Monday, I went to a fellow Mensan's house and played the first round of the backgammon tournament.  While agreeing the rules and play, I learned that my husband and I have been playing backwards for the last two years.  I mean, the layout, and amount of travel each tile has to move has been correct, so effectively we were playing right, but we played with everything reversed, so on Monday I had to wrap my head around playing anti-clickwise after playing clockwise for two years.  I lost, but I don't think it's because of that little handicap.  My opponent had all kinds of luck.  I'm not sure her alleged precision dice weren't really cheaty ones.

5.  My husband has four days off after he gets home tonight.  Unfoetunately, on Monday he's taking the campervan to our mechanic friend near Salisbury to have some work done and get an MOT.  Buuuuuuut that means I have the whole day with the car!  (Part of it will be spent collecting records from my GP, of course.)
