I've been in an 80s rock mood lately and have been downloading a lot of songs.

Anyone else an 80s child or grew up in the 80s!?

Whats some of your favourite songs you remember?

Jack and Diane
London calling
Addicted to love
Walk like an Egyptions
Blinded me with science
Don't you forget about me .....

Cmon lets hear your 80s guilty pleasures! ;D

My sister has Bon Jovi's greatest hits. Apparently, that's one of their 'camping' CDs to listen to in the car. There was nothing better than having my 3, 6, and 8 yo nephews rocking out to Livin' on a Prayer. My three year old nephew was rocking on the air guitar. Hilarious!!!  ;D

Being a child of the 80's, I love all 80's music! I remember dancing to Tiffany and Debbie Gibson in junior high.   [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

I was a total new wave wannabe. But now appreciate most 80s stuff to some degree (even if just for the nostalgia!).

Let's see...

Summer of '69
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
I Wanna Know What Love Is (hated it then!)
Cruel Summer
Magic
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I've been trying to think of that song all day! I heard it a few weeks ago and intended to download it but forgot what the song was later!.  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

I was a teenager and into my 20's in the 80's and was totally into new wave / punk and post-punk stuff.  I had so many records!

Tears For Fears, The Cure, Sisters of Mercy, Killing Joke, X, Blondie, The Ramones, The Clash, Love and Rockets, just to scratch the surface.

Sometimes hearing that stuff now brings a smile to my face, but I'm glad it's all in the past now!

Oh...specific songs:  One Way or Another, Rock-n-Roll High School, Love Cats, etc etc.

I know a line dance to Stray Cat Strut!!

A lot of mine have already been listed, plus I have a hard time remembering if they are 80s songs or early 90s.

Endless list of Madonna songs....

Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go by Wham!

Wow, you guys are killing me with the nostalgia!

I was so into the 80's.  :) I don't think I can top any of those lists...I love them all.

So many of those songs were in the background of life back then.  ;)

For me, I was young and life seemed simple (at least fondly looking back...being a 20 something it was a bit more dramatic than that).   :)

I can't believe I forgot Footloose! My grandpa has that song on his jukebox at his lake cottage and I always play that when we go up! The movie is not to shabby either.

I had forgotten about "The 80's at 8" until we were driving to NJ a couple of weeks ago and the radio station was telling everyone to get ready for it! I went nuts!

I canNOT take it seriously any more.  Arrested Development has completely ruined it for me.  Whenever I hear it, all I see is Gob and his illusions. ;D

I'm surprised you didn't take offense at Def Leppard, too!

I love 80's music.  Whenever I hear an 80's song (even the ones I didn't like in the 80's) I think it sounds so much better than anything out today.
