Leon is awful. Really really awful. Far as I'm concerned he'll be a one hit wonder at best. He's awkward on stage and his voice ain't all that. Shades of Gareth Gates minus the stutter. Just another semi-pretty boy with an ok voice.

Rhydian is a loon but the man can sing and I personally thought he was starting to wear the 'pop' mantle much more comfortably as the contest progressed (compare him now to his earlier performances). I think there's a niche for him that will sell him a LOT of records. I mean, look at Fron (http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/music/article2786556.ece). I don't know if I'd buy his stuff but IMO he's got a much better chance of having a long career.

Same Difference - well, Mrs Pink is probably right, but I don't know. I see them on a cruise ship if anything!

I swear I watched X Factor last night... but had no idea who won.  Maybe it was announced when we were untangling the Christmas lights.

The only one lately that I thought would actually make a pop star was Nikki.  (sp?) I think Rhydian should have won the final three, if talent was the point.  Leon??  That's just weird.  Although he seemed to have a better voice than M. Buble.. and if that guy's popular.. well, again, weird.

the only reason leon won is that 8 million scottish pre-pubescent girls voted for him.

not that i would've preferred rhydian. he's like a radioactive ken doll.

It was his duet with Kylie Minogue I'm sure that won it for him.

Yes, it was. No thanks to Leon. Kylie is much more of a "performer" than either Katherine Jenkins (whom I adore) or Jason Donovan, as well as being a far bigger name. It was set up for him to win. When I heard it was going to be Kylie, I knew Leon would win.

UGH.

But, at least Rhydian will definitely get a record contract and I'll be buying his CD! 

I really hated Rhydian and when Nicki left X Factor i was gutted because i wanted her to win.  Then last night I decided I wanted Same Difference to win because theyre just lovely people and fun to watch.  When they left and i was only given a choice of Rhydian or Leon.. and since I didnt like Rhydian I definatly wanted Leon to win.. so i suppose im happy with the results by default...  I just think Rhydian is too cocky.

I watched it much later (after midnight) because I was out while it was on. But, had I been watching live, I probably would have voted for Rhydian a couple of times.

I felt this year just blew in terms of talent.  I'm pretty sure this is my last year of watching X-Factor.  Unless I'm told that there is some actual talent I'll give something else on Sat night my attention for next year.

we voted for Same Difference And Leon in the semi final round.  We didn't vote for the final.  70p was my limit.  We did not want Rhydian to win.
