Apparently Leon has also been asked to do Phantom by Andrew Lloyd Webber. And Lloyd Webber is supposedly writing a whole new musical for Rhydian.  Same Difference are going to do an album of Disney songs (puke!).

I wouldn't have thought he could handle that, to be honest. I don't think his voice is big/strong enough.

This was in the Sunday People so chances are the report is, er,  exaggerated somewhat.  ;) I can't imagine it either.

People is a crap news source. I don't believe Leon has been asked to clean Webber's loo much less star in the lead of Phantom. Most sources are saying Webber has been after Rhydian for a few weeks to do Phantom.

I did try to vote for Rhydian and couldn't get through. A lot of other people had the same problem and some complaints have been filed. Personally, I think they fixed it. Face it, most game shows and reality shows in the UK are fixed.

Sure Same Diffierence was cute, but did they have the talent that Rhydian had? No. Neither did Leon. Leon sang flat and off key on every single song he performed on the X Factor. ........I don't understand the UK's fascination with Kylie either. And her outfit last night made her look like a a big black spider with really fat hips. Total bomb fashionwise.

I didn't vote this year at all. Not since all the crap with the TV voting scams.
I don't think Same Difference was cute at all. In fact I couldn't hardly stand to look at that girl when she would open her mouth. She has the worst facial expressions when she would sing. And what's with all the A-line dresses  ::)
Funny you mentioned Kylie. I don't understand the UK fascination either. I mentioned this to my husband a few times. I can't stand her!

she's annoying. she's like a midge. and she sings through her nose.

I kind of like Kylie! But I do agree with Scout about that black spidery outfit. It made her legs look massive! And she's so teensy!

Actually, I found my opinion of Rhydian change as the competition progressed. In the beginning, I think the producers were editing it so that he seemed very arrogant, but in the live shows I thought that he came off as a rather nice and grateful guy. Regardless, I always looked forward to his performances the most! Leon seems like a sweet kid, I think his voice is quite nice and would have a hard time being too critical.  :)

I was glad that Same Difference were third; I still wonder how far Sean would have gotten in the competition had he been a solo artist (I think his voice is better than Sarah's).

No! really?! Unfortunately the more reliable newspapers were busy reporting on the killing of "un-Islamic" women in Basra and other such events so probably missed any scoop on the X Factor.  ;)

Honestly, if anyone thinks the X Factor result was unfair, spare a thought for all the very talented singer songwriters in this country who never get any airplay, much less TV time.  The whole premise of the X Factor is Saturday night light entertainment, it's not meant to be taken that seriously. Of course, the other premise behind it is that Simon Cowell thinks he's steering the course of the British music scene. We so need someone to take up John Peel's mantle but I don't think it's going to happen.

Agreed.

Anyone read Ben Elton's spoof of the whole X Factor/Pop Idol thing? Chart Throb I think it's called?
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Oh dear Rhydian's thrown his toys out of the pram, although he's been signed up by Simon Cowell's record label anyway.

Yes, that is a bit silly. But if it means, as the article says, that Welsh radio stations are banning Leon's single as a result, then I'm all for it!  :P ;D

I doubt that party was all that hot of a party..........the only judge that bothered to show up was Louie Walsh. ::)

Apparently over 1100 people have already complained to Watchdog OFCAM about not being able to get through to vote for Rhydian.
