I  get a latte.  If it's starbucks, I just get filtre coffee.  I think they've watered down their coffee recently.  It's not as strong as it used to be.

Really? I've always hated it because it's too strong.  I've been trying hard lately to not get a latte because of all the milk/fat/calories, and I've just been drinking filter coffee at work.

When I lived in the US (Boston) I had them a lot.

mmmmm... i want that!
it's not on Starbuck's menu, but i reckon they'd make it if i asked...

my only complaint with the starbucks chai is this weird "scratchy" flavor- on the back of my throat.  when i make chai from scratch it never does this.

i reckon that's because starbucks chai isnt real tea... it's a syrup, so god only knows what's in it!

I usually order a frappucino or similar, or if it's cold out it's either a hot chocolate or latte with soy milk.

Coffee, black.  This is almost impossible to order these days...

My BF says the same thing about Starbucks/Costa/Nero, etc. If he orders a black coffee, they do a double take. They usually ask if he wants an Americano. He'll reply that he wants a black coffee and let them sort if out for themselves.  ::)

I've always found their coffee to be weak.  Pret a Manger rocks.

An Americano with no milk would be a black coffee.
So would an espresso.
Just black coffees by different names, but definitely not hard to find!   :)

No, not hard to find.  Just hard to order.  I miss going to Tim Horton's and just saying 'coffee'.  (Oh, and then 'please', as we're Canadians.)

But all the Starbucks around here (i.e. London) are doing the eggnog latte!?

Is the Starbucks eggnog latte only available in London this year? Where do you live?

Pumpkin lattes sound lush!

I'm in Sheffield.  I honestly wouldn't be able to tell you if the Starbucks nearby are able to do them or not, as I'm not exactly straying too far from home at the moment.   [smiley=angel.gif]  I don't think Andrea's been onto this post at all - she'd possibly know if the Starbucks at Tudor Square has them or not.   :-\\\\

Ha, you're right that I wouldn't know- but that's because I hardly ever venture into Starbucks these days! ;)  I'm not in town that often, actually, except when I'm changing buses going to and from work (joy!) Any coffee that I order is likely to be from the shops at the rail station or similar. :P
