My shiny red pbone came in.

I pulled it and started playing it and its great fun!   A pbone is a plastic trombone, which actually plays remarkably like a real trombone. Not perfect, but good fun. They're actually really 'hip' in the jazz trombone scene right now.

This looks like great fun!  :D

For me it was a wrap I bought on Etsy. It looked good in the pics but it's even better in person. I'm so glad I risked it now!  :D

I got a big parcel of hot pink fabric, a Cynthia Rowley sewing pattern, thread, and a bunch of "We are what we make" stuff from the Kollabora.com site people in NYC that I'm helping to beta-test. Yay! A vast improvement to my Monday. :)

I got the first postal reply to the survey I'm conducting as part of my first 'real' job here in the U.K. (consulting for a local non-profit).

Of course, I had to kind of shake my head, because the person wasted two stamps to mail back a blank survey and a note to say they didn't think it applied to their group.  Why not just phone or e-mail, and save yourself the trouble?

Still, it's exciting to have proof that people are actually getting the mailings, and reading them! :)

A slipcover for the sofa.  May not sound too great, but I'm excited.  Seriously, who puts a white fabric sofa in a rental apartment?  Of course it's got tea stains from previous tenants, so I can't get that cover on fast enough!  Har.

Two DVD box sets from hubby's parents. We were told to pick what we wanted from
Amazon, given a 'spend limit' and set free with MIL's bank card. They are wrapped and under the tree, although we really wanted to get started with them.

No, nothing good in the post.  :(  I was waiting for 'A Christmas Carol' with Patrick Stewart from LoveFilm, but it hasn't come.  Oh, well.  Will have to order it earlier next year.

Aww. Have you gotten my Christmas card through? That would've been something good...   ;) ;D

My mom sent me a package and included peanut butter and mint Oreos!  I haven't been able to find them here, so I'm pretty happy about that.  They won't last long, though. ;)

Our Christmas parcel from MIL arrived today.. later than the guaranteed by Christmas she was given, but well worth the wait. There was the new Top Gear DVD, a pair of slippers for me, two pairs of fuzzy socks, Where's Waldo (or Wally, if you prefer) socks, other fun socks, and other goodies. As usual. she threw in more for me than hubby.
