DH got his new British passport today. He submitted the application this past Saturday through the Post Office Check and Send service - turnaround 5 days!!  :o
Ok, so I'm smug.

Happy Birthday Shugga!  I didn't see your name on the list of upcoming birthdays.

Thanks  ;D  my birthday isn't till next Tuesday the 27th I think my mom & sisters wanted to make sure my cards got here on time.  :)  my mom missed our Anniversary by 1 day & missed Dh's B/day by 1 day she felt bad on both occasions  :( so she didn't want that to happen again to me.

My name isn't on the upcoming Birthdays list. Dh is the one who signed me up for UK Yankee when I joined in 2004. so I don't think he wanted my birthday known so he didn't do that part when he registered me. before moving to the UK I had never been on a forum before an I didn't know what a forum was to be honest. I wasn't very computer smart before I moved to the UK I knew a few things thats about it.  [smiley=huh2.gif]

Received DD's Make a Moo Rainmac from Anchor - too cute (but still a bit too big)!

Unexpectedly I received a package from Sheffield Wildlife Trust:  (before Xmas I bought a raffle ticket at Lush buying SIL's present) in it was an autographed copy of Michael Palin's New Europe, a swim pass for Barnsle Leisure Centre and two cinema tickets to the Showroom.  So thrilled!  DH says the book alone's worth more than the other stuff (now, to find a place to keep it out of DDs hands...)!   ;D

I agree with your DH.  I love Michael Palin.

Care package! Jolly Ranchers!

Hubby already opened all the bags, spread the candy on the bed and rolled around on them ecstatically!
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

A note from John Lewis: thanks for using our Gift List.  Did you receive all your stuff last Thursday?  Care to purchase an extended warranty for any of your new appliances?

The holidays brought so many more exciting things in the post.
