I started mine.  But I'd rather not put it on the open forum.  (Just a bit shy)

Nice project, Ladies!  I'm such a numpty, i'm not sure I could manage... how long does it take, in terms of minutes or hours, from taking a photo to getting it loaded on your page/blog/insert proper name here.?

A nice thing for your folks back home to look at.... :)

I think it just depends how proficient you are with your computer/camera as well as what software/website you use to publish it with.

I'm pretty comfortable with my camera, so to upload the picture, open it in Photoshop, resize it and adjust the colours takes about 5-10 minutes.

I use blogger which allows you to upload the picture straight from your computer so that only takes a couple of seconds.

All in all, probably under 15 minutes accounting for time to type up a quick description as well.

I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

If you haven't done it before, you need to allow a learning curve. But for me, I may take the photos but not load it until much later in the day. I think a lot of people also just load up once a week or so? I guess if you do that, you'd need to have some sort of record of what pic you want for that day. I am, however, operating under the assumption that the pic you post on said day has to be taken that day?

As for uploading, that takes about 10 minutes for me. That's from camera, into Photoshop for tweaking (you don't have to do this), then uploading to the blog. I am used to the software, but I don't have a very fast camera or computer. I expect it can be done either faster or slower!! ;D

Right now, I already have ideas of what I may photograph for upcoming days. So there are going to be days when it's a no-brainer what I want to have for my pic. But I expect when the novelty wears off, it will become more challenging. It will be hard to not default to pics of kids/cats/sheep (hey, we are going to be living in Cumbria!). This is when I want to try and focus on the everyday things that I take for granted but will be nice to remember down the road (such as my favorite mixing bowls or the tea shop in Carlisle, etc).

I was thinking that someone who has been doing this for a while might want to write something about it in the Just Do It board?!

If I don't tweak my pic in Photoshop, it probably takes under 2 minutes, to be honest. I don't write much of a description, so it's easy-peasy.

What's your first name, Sevans? If you'd rather not let people know, that's fine - I'll just list you as Sevans.  :)

My first name's quite unusual, so I'd rather you leave it as sevans, if that's okay. (I'll PM you my name if you're curious, though!  :))

I have to say, I'm really really enjoying this! I am seeing little 'snapshots' in my head all day long, everywhere I look.

I am also loving looking at everyone else's pages - this is a very talented group indeed!

Is everyone still feeling motivated?
Ok, so I'm smug.

Just set up my page.  No photos until my birthday (or the day I purchase a new camera).  Either way, should be soon!

Cool!

It's nice to see people's comments, too. I'm really enjoying this so far. I hope I can keep the momentum going...

Its quite intriguing looking at everyone's pictures. First thing in the morning I check all the bookmarked blogs and look forward to the updated pictures. It is really amazing to get a glimpse into other people's lives by just looking at one picture a day.

Unfortunately I forgot my camera today so I may have to make do with a really terrible cell phone picture, but I'm going to try to make sure I get something!!
