I think she's vile and DH and I think a great drinking game would be to watch her show and have a drink every time she:

adds butter
pours in white sugar
says, 'How bad could that be?'
says, 'This is perfect'
or says, 'That is so good!'

And why are her trousers so short? Does it flood in the Hamptons? (and why are all the men there so camp?)

What could possibly cause such vitriolic feelings towards a television chef?
Has she cooked a kitten lately?

Yeah, if she's that vile, why not just change the channel or switch off?! No need to drink yourself into an early grave over it!

You think that is bad, you should see some of the blogs dedicated to the hatred of Rachel Ray.

Me too.  I lived with a girl in Culinary school for about two years.  She HATED her!  It was so funny.

I've not seen Barefoot Contessa.. what channel can I see her on?

Now Rachel Ray is just ewwwwwwww... :-X

I had on Nigel Slater the other day, which I watched when it originally aired many moons ago...(with his pal Nigella on before she hit the bigtime.) Even though I love his cooking and writing, he just was not made for the telly...  Really irritating speaking voice.

I quite like watching her show but she uses so many expensive ingredients that can apparently only be bought from the gourmet stores and markets where she lives!

I've never noticed that and I've made quite a few of her recipes.  I have one of her books and I really like it as well.

I want to poke my eyes out and throw myself off a bridge when we watch her. My step-dad is OBSESSED with her show and you know once 6pm rolls around the tv is being turned too food network no matter what you're watching. It's funny because during the whole time he watches her he says things like "God she's so annoying" "I wonder if she's like that at home?" ...it's a love/hate thing. Somedays she grates on the nerves more than others... ::)
