Yay. Thank you! Looks like the shop KoD recommended has mochi so when I feel better I'm definitely visiting.

Their mochi is AMAZING as well :D I like the shop because it's a bit further out of the way of the centre so easier to drive to and park up at but their parking lot is a bit crammed, just a heads up.

but if you Google my balls:

I can't not LOL at that and I think you know that.

I am now craving this :

But unfortunately they didn't share the recipe! Obviously made with cereal but it just looks so perfect and delicious.

That is one of my favourite dishes. Looks like i'm coming to yours for dinner! haha Our dinner isn't even close to as nice as katsu curry.

Actually I meant that I'm going out to have it for lunch.  Mrs. Jimbocz won't allow any frying to happen to happen in our house for good reason.

Bracknell is weird. Or maybe it's poor labelling! It's on a kinda run down street with a bunch of small store fronts near all the shiny new stuff, so they may need something to help attract customers.

Edit: It's worth mentioning there are some tech hubs for companies near Stirling. It's cool there so data centers require less energy. It may have a larger Asian population than where i am. Reading has many but whoever designed the roads in Reading deserves a medal for the most confusing maze of roads I've been on so I avoid driving there if I can.
We are actually well supported by the Chinese students at Stirling Uni.

Haha fair! I can’t pretend I wasn’t pleasantly surprised at the thought you were allowed to!

I make cornflake chicken quite often and it's now one of my husbands favourites.  He thought I was nuts putting cornflakes on chicken, but he is a good sport trying most American food and is now converted.

I bake mine, but you can easily fry. I found this recipe which would probably be successful for frying. https://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/cornflake-fried-chicken-242835

I've been craving a warm, gooey apple dumpling with vanilla ice cream.
I've never gotten food on my underpants!

I wasn't craving this but the starving American in me made me order it. Waffle Burger at Frankie and Benny's.  Meh.

My friend was in the USA and brought me back two boxes of Cinnamon LIFE cereal. It's the same* as I remember and totally hit that craving.  YAY!

I saw a box of Cinnamon Chex in Canterbury yesterday.  If you want to get American sweeties, Canterbury has tons of shops.  I picked up some cherry blow pops.

I also bought an old bakalight view master with tons of reels showing old Disney movies.  It's in super good shape and wade£50 at Oxfam

That's awesome!
Thanks, the whole family sat around last night with the TV off passing around the view master.  There's about 80 reels, all from the 50s or 60s.  Some are Disney, including Popeye, and others are towns like Cambridge or Bristol.  There's one of the cutty Sark and one of the Greenwich Planetarium.

Then the kids started moaning about watching TV and getting their phones back and our Walton's moment was gone.

Awwww.

I kept my viewmaster, which had been my brother's before me, and have dozens of reels from the 1940s and 1950s, and a few that I picked up in National Parks (USA) as an adult. They really are entertaining little things.  There's a vintage shop near me that had the reels when I was in one day. I need to go back to see if they still have them and buy some more.

I might be the only person in the Western world who didn't have a Viewmaster growing up.  I looked through them at friends' houses (though my friends were always bored of them and couldn't be bothered to wait for me to eventually get bored of it, so I didn't get to see much).  I feel like my childhood took place in an alternate universe sometimes.
