I went to John Lewis in Buchanan Gallery the other day and I about left in tears after a visit to the large appliance department. I will never have a house big enough for regular sized appliances. So flipping depressing.
While I was in Lakeland, I noticed they had Ball canning jars.
If you have a close by Polish shop, they should sell eggs. They are generally free range with a gorgeous orange yolk and cheap.
Just placed my Tesco order for the week. Chicken breast and also beef brisket are on good sale. So I'll be canning more chicken and there's going to be a brisket-in-ale in the crockpot later this week. Free-range chicken eggs are now substantially more expensive than caged chicken eggs (which I won't buy), and they've got roasted almond milk on at a pound (Daughter loves it - minimal carbs and tasty!). Cathedral City cheddar is on good sale. There's butter as well. I do wish I had a real freezer, not this Barbiedoll one!
