I really like the Gran Luchito products.

Me too. I wish their tomatillo salsa was a lil spicier though!

Here's what we had for dinner a few nights back

That sauce is like sugary vinegar, but it's okay if you slather some of this on

I bought the Luchito Salsa Verde and it's really good! I've got that chipotle one as well but was only opening one at a time. I also love their honey chipotle cooking paste. I use it with my turkey mince for tacos and they taste fab. Their products are really good (from the ones I've had at least)

Also, Sainsburys had corn tortillas and stuff as well. There seemed to be a lot more "mexican" and south american products on offer lately there and I'm loving it :D

Went to the farmer's market yesterday and they were selling spaghetti squash. So one is in the oven right now, and there's a pan full of mince and sauce on the stovetop simmering. I haven't found spaghetti squash since we moved here, so I'm a happy camper today!

Also, Sainsburys had corn tortillas and stuff as well.

Were they pure corn, or corn & flour mix?

Haven't seen 'em here, and I've been looking.  Between the two of us we polished off half of it. Excellent squash. Cost 2 pounds at the farmer's market.

Yeah. We've been looking for it everywhere. This is from a farm that delivers produce boxes, so I think we're going to sign up with them.

I made homemade Roasted Red Pepper soup and grilled cheese sandwiches tonight.
Gotta love Giada de Laurentiis for some things. :)
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

I don't usually follow recipes. I just know what flavors I like and I throw stuff together. I may look at recipes for ideas on different flavor profiles though.

I also made a Chinese leg of lamb with mushrooms, onions and cabbage.

We will be eating good this week.

Just placed my Tesco order for the week. Chicken breast and also beef brisket are on good sale. So I'll be canning more chicken and there's going to be a brisket-in-ale in the crockpot later this week. Free-range chicken eggs are now substantially more expensive than caged chicken eggs (which I won't buy), and they've got roasted almond milk on at a pound (Daughter loves it - minimal carbs and tasty!). Cathedral City cheddar is on good sale. There's butter as well. I do wish I had a real freezer, not this Barbiedoll one!

I went to John Lewis in Buchanan Gallery the other day and I about left in tears after a visit to the large appliance department. I will never have a house big enough for regular sized appliances. So flipping depressing.

While I was in Lakeland, I noticed they had Ball canning jars.

If you have a close by Polish shop, they should sell eggs. They are generally free range with a gorgeous orange yolk and cheap.
