You can make a low fat cheese sauce by melting some cheddar cheese into some chicken stock. That might be the most useful thing I've ever learned from Rachel Ray!

And now I've learned this too!  That will come in handy, assuming I don't burn it!

As a matter of curiosity, how much does it cost?

When I was a kid and taking family holidays in a caravan in Essex we'd often go in the public baths in Colchester.  I doubt they're still there - Or at least not in any recognizable form.

That British Midland Airways doesn't fly from Manchester to Las Vegas anymore. I researched and found they stopped earlier this year.

That Thomas Cook Airline doesn't know were they fly to. One page says one thing then going to the next page it doesn't show up. Do you know what I mean?

Hey Paul you could do it for free. Just strip down to your skivvies and wait for it rain ;D

Well, I have the North Sea right behind my back yard too.  It's rapidly approaching the time of year when it will be a little chilly for that though!   ;)

It was £3, plus £2 deposit for the towel.
I had brought my own towel but the jobsworths still charged me £5 and gave me £2 back when i was finished.  ::)

that ground coffee does not come in big aluminum cans like in America (the cans actually hold instant coffee - oops).

And I figured out why I don't actually need to put the 20 pound note on top of the cash drawer until I've counted back the change.  As a cashier, in the US, you are supposed to keep their note on top until the change has been counted back in case the customer then insists they handed you a twenty or fifty instead of a five.  I started doing that here and then realized it would never come up because all the notes are different colors and sizes here.  Why can't we do that with our money?

One day I paid for something, gave them a 20 pound note and they gave me change for 10 pounds. I just grabbed all my change and walked back to work. Once there I realized what happened and my coworkers insisted I go back to the shop. I did and they had to check the camera that's located above the register to prove I was right. The difference in the money doesn't mean people won't mess up what they give you and some people could be deceptive on purpose (just like in the US). I'd still keep the money on the register until the transaction is complete.

I agree, my DH swore he paid with a 20 because that was all he had on him. The cashier swore it was a 10. He had no way to prove, nor did they. He walked away angry and then later embarrassed when he remembered he had made a purchase before that one, and it was indeed a 10 he had paid with.

It can happen to anyone--- I would continue to leave it on top :).
