Mirra- you can get Strongbow here in the states! At least in my state...

I have had it in the pub cans in Texas, but never on draught.... it's so much better fresh out of the keg!  (or they sell it in two-liter bottles here, you could just have one of those! :P)

Oh I get Strongbow on draught here. I think at Taco Mac for sure, but also other places. Damn, now I wish I had one of those! :(

There are a few places here when you can get it on tap and they quickly have become my favourite places!  I had a few Strongbows last night, in fact! Yum Yum.

I was in heaven when I saw the 2 liter bottles in England! I tell you now - if I ever live there, there will be one of those in my fridge at all times :)

Oh my god you are so right!!! This is exactly how I felt when I had to leave and come back to England. I kept hoping he'd come up with some idea where it would be easy for us to stay together and also hoped he had a surprise for me or whatever....instead I kept howling into his jacket and he just swallowed hard trying to be the 'strong one' since I am a right cry baby. You wrote this so well and I really enjoyed reading this because for some silly reason I do think like you and get a bit carried away sometimes...it also might be that tiny bit of drama queen (but a nice one) in me...lol.   ;D
Suppose we all are waiting for our Prince Charming turning up on his charger whisking us into his muscular arms and carrying us into the sunset....and then reality strikes, my man could never lift me and if he did he'd either collapse from a broken back or a heart attack...well, one can dream...lol.

LOL I dont think David could lift me either (at least not in the romantic off into the sunset kind of way!) :)

David does the "strong one" thing also and a part of me wishes he would break down too, but if he actually did, I think it would make it much harder - so hes probably smart to be all stoic and let me be the cry baby.

Its good to have a English woman on our little thread for some extra insight :)

wow...my boss let me leave early Friday and I was gone for the weekend and I missed two whole pages worth of threads lol...I missed going to the pub with Alan and the girls...I missed the talk of shoe shopping...Carey you need to have date night with David and just tell him for this date night you want to dress up..and that way you have an excuse to wear your hot dress....

And I think Shaun of the Dead is as close to a romantic movie a man on this thread can get...so we can add it to the list lol...I think it is romantic in that it could frighten the woman he is watching it with...in this case it would be Jamie and she would have to cling on to him for dear life...and somehow I don't think Alan is opposed to that at all lol
And I think it makes an even better romantic movie cause Cameron Diaz isn't in it lol...

I have missed you ladies and gentleman....I hope you all had great weekends...and I can't wait till the week begins and we all begin chatting again :o)

DH was always "the strong one" too, he never cried, while I was just howling- always in the morning when I woke up and knew I would have to take him to the airport, just before we would leave, then i would cry the whole time we were there!   :\\\'(
He did cry pretty hard once when he got home, he wanted to come back so badly.... so at least I got one good breakdown off him during our LDR...  ;)

Ha ha! That was on tv here yesterday afternoon. I thought of this group, too! I have never seen that movie. Don't think I'd like it either! LOL

Random side note: Whitney Houston's daughter went to the school where I teach last year! Never saw her coming in for a conference or anything though!

Not surprising Beth.. Poor kid.  Whitney is a mess, it sounds like!  And Bobby Brown as your dad?  Blech!

Also, I have to warn everyone on this thread of a horrible event coming up - ABC Family's 25 days of Christmas!!! They are currently doing a countdown to the 25 days of Christmas (overkill??) and had the gaul to show THE NOTEBOOK last night. Luckily, I had somewhere to go, so didnt watch it.  But, the 25 Days of Christmas is when ABC Family shows Christmas movies every night I always seem to turn it on when there is some miracle Christmas romance happening, and I cannot tear myself away no matter how hard I try!  I watched one last year where Clarissa Explains It All (Melissa Joan Hart) kidnaps A.C Slater (Mario Lopez) and takes him to her family's Christmas dinner and they fall in love.  Are you kidding me!?  But I will totally watch it again... and omg, I just checked the ABC Family website and its ON TONIGHT!  I am going to pretend I am secretly not excited to see it again.

Oh Jamie you shouldn't be sad you will get to see your boy very soon...you are very lucky...you are all very lucky...right now it isn't looking very good for me and my boy...he isn't handling the separation very well...and because of that he is on the verge of breaking up...I am talking to him tonight so I am going to do my best to tell him that we don't have to wait that much longer..
so just be happy in the fact that you have your visa...you have a wonderful man and he is going to be waiting for you at Manchester Airport on the 16th of Dec...(I remember him saying that the other night) you will get to be with him and live happily ever after....I love happy endings :o)

Carey you watched a movie where Sabrina the Teenage witch kidnaps AC Slater...that rocks lol..but you are right the Miracle Romance Christmas movies are worse then the regular romantic movies....hehe but we love them anyway...I am a complete sucker for romantic movies...I will always be a hopeless romantic no matter what...

have I told you guys today I missed you this weekend!!!! :o)

so have we all put our orders in for our Christmas Sweaters lol
