I got a voicemail from Jamie this morning and the pain meds must really be working. She sounded better then she did yesterday and she said they gave her meds to manage the pain...and I think they are sending her home today...Yay Jamie ) hope you get better soon

Hey ladies thanks for all the nice messages! I really thought I was going to die I've never felt anything like it! And then came the panic that they initially thought was my appendix was going and that they were going to have to remove it, obviously abdominal surgery this far in pregnancy is a very scary thing.  So I was freaking about that! And I can't take most pain meds because of the baby so...I was just kind of stuck in pain. 

After 3 days and a lot of blood tests and tears (taking blood out of my freaking knuckles might I add because my veins were collapsing OUCH) they decided that I am feeling the affects of ligament pain technically called round ligament pain (the rapid growth of my belly is pulling on the muscles in my hips) UGH but with the help of codene hot baths and lots of massage it seems to be doing a bit better.  To be honest it is still sore feels like I was in a car accident, but at least I can walk now!

Anyway now I am in panic mode because I am not supposed to be doing much but we are leaving to go to the states in less than 3 weeks!!! And we haven't even done any Christmas shopping or holiday shopping or anything! DAMMIT! whatever it will work itself out! thanks again ladies you are the best!

Jamie, glad to hear you're (mostly) feeling better!  I was wondering if it was your gallbladder at first from the description, since women usually have problems with that just after giving birth...glad to hear it's nothing that requires surgery!!

Hi ladies.  I am now a married woman!!!  The wedding was fabulous and went off without one thing going wrong...well, other than 1 of my bridesmaids stealing my bouquet  , but that's another story...and petty!

The honeymoon was fantastic.  Graham left Monday to go back to the UK and that was the hardest goodbye yet.  I miss him a ton!

So, now I am in full visa mode and have prepared all my docs to send to Vicky to review.  Once she has done that, will fill out apps, do biometrics and send docs to courrier to send to consulate.  I am looking at first week of January to be approved, but that may be wishful thinking.

I tried to get caught up on all that is going on here. 

Becca, congrats on the wedding and glad you enjoyed your Florida/Disney honeymoon.  I've always wanted to go there...sounds like fun!

Shanthi, hope you enjoyed your trip and were able to make it over on the 2nd attempt!!!

Zoya, I can so relate to the nervousness about selling everything and moving...the wedding was the easy part, you're right!

Josy, congrats on the job.  I can imagine there is some depression associated with such a big change as moving overseas.  Thank you for being honest and offering to be there for those of us waiting to make the move.  We are here for you, as well.

Jamie, When I say your husband's post before getting to your update, I was really worried.  Glad to hear that you are feeling better. 

I should be around more, now that I am in visa mode.  I am feeling better today as I have managed to get some things in order, but I am still a bit frantic about how all the stuff that needs to get done will getting done..before I move over!   

Congrats on getting married! I hope the visa process goes well and you're able to move in January.

I did make it over on attempt #2, and had a wonderful week. Now I'm in job application/house cleanup mode so that I can attempt to get both settled before I move (which will probably be Jan/Feb, depending on a few factors).

I actually saw your post where you said you made it over...I think I was trying to say glad you made it over on the 2nd attempt...who knows these days with all the craziness that is going on!  I feel like my mind is constantly turning its little wheels to figure out what to accomplish next!

It looks like you and I will be heading over around the same time.  I wish you the best in getting everything sorted out.

And don't worry the process for the flr/m (if that's how you are coming) isn't as bad as some of the others:)  They are looking for people fraudulantly putting in fake docs and everything they are really not keen on seperating families....hope that eases some of your fears! Just take your time make sure everything is there and neat and you will be fine!

the first year has been an interesting one that is for sure! Definately had my ups and downs....getting married getting pregnant (unfortuantely a miscarriage at the start of the year) it has been really crazy! Then this pregnancy has been a little rough.  The time has gone so so fast!  It is such an emotional time for some people, the homesickness is pretty intense sometimes but helps that my husband is a rockstar and allows me to feel however I need to feel without being judgemental about it at all.  He has never rushed me and never felt bad when I cry about not being "home" I am always so worried that I am going to make him feel bad but he is so understanding and wonderful! 

SO don't worry girls everything works out in its own time! It is worth all the tears and worry that you will feel while going thru the visa process.  And moving is also so so so stressful, but a little word of advice! Don't kill yourself trying to make everyone else happy.   Because to be honest when you move some of those very people making your life so so hard will unfortunately go their own ways once you are here.  I know that sounds horrible but it seems to be the truth for a lot of people! And once you are here you will forget about all the stress!

So good luck to you and all of your applications! And congratulations for all the newly married! IF you have any questions feel free to ask and I will do my best to help:)  Feeling nastalgic I think because I am coming up on one year fast lol
