I soo feel for you. Like yourself I too had to make an escape from someone I thought I knew, almost 7 years I lived with him and as each year that went by it just slowly got worse and worse and I didn't realize it until one day all I could do was think about stepping in front of a BART train on my way to work.

Thankfully I had wonderful supportive family and my best friend who helped me out. Like yourself, I just came home from work one day he happened to be out of the house, packed all my stuff, my parents showed up took my stuff and my cat and I jumped on a plane to England. That was 18 months ago.

Since then I fell in love with my best friend, got married, moved permanently to England, had our daughter and here I am.

Best of luck to you tonight, I'll pray for you always.

Just read this post.... sorry you are going through such a hard time.  How devastating that someone you knew so well turned out to be such a psycho.  What a nightmare!  I will be thinking of you and hoping you make it to your friends house okay and are able to get something sorted for the long term.  Definitely let us know when you arrive safely!

Wow!  What a terrible situation to be in!  I am so sorry that this has happened to you.  No one deserves to be put through this, yet it happens so often!  Happy thoughts are coming your way.  I really do hope things have gone well today.  Hopefully tonight you can get a good night's sleep.

What a horrible situation.  I echo the others; please be safe and let us know you got out ok.  Take care of yourself and you are in my thoughts.

We are all thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way.  Do let us know when you are safe.

Another piece of advice might be to go to any websites (like this one and especially your email) that you may stay permanently logged into and log out before you erase your history.  Whatever you do, keep hold of any important legal documents, and if you need contact info for any refuges or such, let us know.  Your local Women's Aid may be a good reference if you are needing support.

You'll be in my prayers tonight.

My God, what a beast! You're so brave Midnight. Are you there? Please log in as soon as you can and let us know you're alright.

No one deserves this and it's very frightening, but I tip my hat to your courage and dignity.
