Worst Christmas Gift Ever....

When I was about 16, my grandmother bought me an entire old-lady outfit for Christmas. It was all some sort of poly-blend. The top was that bubbly kind with the band around bottom and it had a huge, hideous floral print on it and the trousers were lavender and stretchy with that little seam that runs down the front of each leg. Oh and she gave me clip on Pat Butcher-type earrings to go with it. My mom had a talk with her and from that year on, she only ever gave us money.

MTA..She made me put it on and model it for the entire family.

The worst gift ever arrived from my sister for DH:

A t-shirt with the British flag that says "POLAND" above it.

DH is NOT happy.

Montgomery Ward!!  There's a name I haven't heard in a looooong time!

I don't own a vacuum and really need one. My mom talked it up that I was going to get one this year. She even had me describe what kind I wanted three times. I was really disappointed xmas day when I didn't get one. 

I ended up using my target gift cards and a visa gift card to get one. 

No, the one I mean was for cleaning out basements, garages, etc.  Sears must have been having a sale--LOL.

He did get a bottle of Stetson aftershave off my mom, but even worse is that she sent me some sort of Celine Dion perfume that smells uber-cheap and made me want to gag!

My Mom sent me & DH perfume & aftershave too, but its ok stuff.  It was right brand for DH, just wrong scent.  (After I made the same mistake earlier this year too!)     He'll still use it though.

Giving anything scented to someone else is always tricky.  People like to pick their own perfume and, indeed, they smell different on different people -- mixing with your own personal chemistry or whatever.

I had a bumper pack of 12 red hairbrushes..all different sizes ect..but cripes! how many brushes does someone need???  I have to say that was the naffiest prezzy I had for Christmas....

I caught the flu from a colleague who came into work too soon and was coughing all over the place.  Of course, I had to go into his cubicle and work with him.
