Adam is just trying tooo hard. IMO.  He needs to calm down, wash his face, get a haircut and just sing without trying to semi-shock middle America.  Look, Adam,  you're a good looking guy with a good voice but the whole nail-polish-aren't-I-different-thing has been done before. Twenty five years ago.  Stop it.

Hee!! But remember that 25 years ago he probably wasn't even a glimmer in anyone's eye!! I still think he's just trying on the whole Pete Wentz (remembered half way through my 2nd cup) look. It's not original, but then who is these days?? FWIW I'll always like eye liner and painted nails on men. Much to dh's horror. 

When I say goth, I don't mean GOTH like you and I know it Anne! But I agree, he's trying too hard and it's getting in the way of his great voice. With chops like those, he doesn't need anything else.

And Anne, yes, yes, yes, to the guyliner! You've got access to my FB, right? Take a look at the old pic I posted of my husband... granted, he wasn't looking like that when I met him... but I was pretty d*mn impressed! LOL!

I swing back and forth on Megan. Last night I was unimpressed, today I'm back to semi-intrigued...

See I like Adam. He is funny and different.  Considering the processed same-old-same-old they always have, I am loving him. I don't always get him and sometimes I think "aw he is trying to be unique -- bless."  But he is entertaining and I take notice.  And he doesn't sing Mariah/Whitney/whatever.

And I really like Megan, but then that's probably not a surprise as I tend to grab on to whoever shows even a tiny bit of quirkiness - it's the only way I can stomach these shows.

But my fave still is, and probably will be throughout, Allison. I just love her voice. I can't imagine really listening to any of the others' music besides Allison or Megan, to be honest. I hate country, R&B and Whitney-style pop. Ugh.

Oh, and this week further established my thorough hatred of country music.

The highlight for me was Simon persisting in calling Lil "Little"! I loved that so much! And I don't much like Lil, so from now on she'll be Little to me too. Hah.

Are we allowed to discuss the performances after they air in the UK? Or do we have to wait until after the results to discuss any of it? Just curious for next week.

I say after the performances. As long as no one says anything about results it's fine.

Of course Itv is weird about showing the shows. Why can't they show the performances all at once? Why stick Paris's stupid show in-between? Annoying!!

Heee! But I think I may have cracked it! The Paula crazy correlates directly with the craziness of her outfit! Someone needs to do a study about this. A spreadsheet perhaps? She was NUTS last night! That whole with the crayons? And then inexplicably saying, "Under my dress" when Ryan asked what else was under the table? NUTS!
