Birmingham/Dudley - Any Meetups on the Horizon?

OMG THERE ARE OTHERS. I thought I might be the only American in these parts. I'm in Bearwood/Smethwick, which is sort of between B'ham and Dudley. I don't know if the aforementioned Cov meetup happened or how that went, but if anyone local is following this thread, I would love to meet up for coffee or something!

I have lived here for 4.5 years but am just now getting around to checking out expat forums. Can't believe I didn't do it before...

EDIT: Just to add a bit about me - as you can tell from my username, I'm originally from Indiana. I'm a 26-yr-old woman married to a British man and I miss my country a lot, good points about Britain notwithstanding. Currently working in charity fundraising.

I'm on the south side of Birmingham - Yardley Wood area - and am interested and happy to meet up anytime after we get into January.

If it's convenient for anyone and everyone interested to get into the Birmingham City Centre, how's about a meet-up for a Saturday morning drink?  I know a lot of Americans like Starbucks, so that is one place we could shoot for (I don't drink coffee, but I'm always up for a hot chocolate!). 

I'm probably one of the oldest of all the Americans I've met in the UK, I've lived in Birmingham since August of 2005 and I work for a charity as well...

I think a Sat. morning Starbucks meeting in the city centre sounds like a good idea and would definitely be up for that. I don't currently have anything scheduled for any of the Sat. mornings in Jan or Feb, so any of them would work for me!

Would LOVE to meet up-the sooner the better for me! As for me-my daughter & I have been here for 8+ months, am nearly 32 married to a Brummie, and living with my mother-in-law for the time being. I am desperately seeking work, and in the mean time am volunteering at a drop-in centre.

I met up with Mrs.Lealan a few weeks ago in the city centre, which was great. I'm currently available Mondays, evenings and weekends.

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble finding a place! I've joined the Facebook group...not seeing any upcoming events on there..there was a posting about maybe meeting up for the Chinese New Year, but it seems to have disappeared?

I've been in Lichfield for a month now and am in the same boat many of you are in/have been in - I haven't met anyone! The weather really hasn't helped...if anyone wants to get together in Birmingham or maybe take a trip into London, please let me know. Lunch, shopping, museums - whatever!
