What an episode!  

I love Sayid..his  calm  demeanor, smoldering  looks..   etc..
 Do you think he wanted  to reach out and snap  young Ben's neck when he realized it was him??

and does  anyone else   think his accent sounds like the  Count on Sesame Street??

I don't think Sayid killed Ben. He should've shot more than once to make sure. Though it was sad to see him gun down a kid with an abusive father, even if that kid does grow up to be a sociopath who only cares about himself.

If that's true, I wonder if any of them would remember him?  Would everything change.  Hmmm, I can't wait till I can watch on Thursday

I really don't think Ben is dead. Sayid just left Ben in the middle of the road without checking to see if he was dead. I think they will find him and be able to save his life. It's shocking to think Sayid, a professional killer, wouldn't check to make sure he was dead or put another bullet in to make sure. I wish he would be dead, though, he gets on my nerves sometimes. 

Plus, didn't Faraday say something to the effect of everything they do is something that already happened. So if 40 y/o Ben's walking around, teen Ben's still alive somehow.

I'm with Jewlz - Ben cant be dead.   Jin will wake up and find him still alive or something. According to Daniel, if you have been alive in the future you cannot die in the past. (although he said it much better than that, of course!) Thats what all that "course correcting" stuff was about...

I also agree that I don't think Ben is dead but it should be interesting to see where they take this.  According to the descripition of this next episode coming up, it looks like Kate will be attempting to save him.  I bet this starts a war type thing between the Darhma people and the Others. 

It did really look like he shot him in the heart.  It does not seem possible for someone like Sayid to miss his mark.
