LOST fans ... Anyone left??? [Warning: spoilers]

Oh... what happened with Richard?  I've already forgotten... did he just walk away from MIB?  Did we last leave him on his way to the temple?

Last we saw he tried to convince Sawyer to go to the temple with him.  Richard has always been portrayed as calm, level headed, etc.  And to see him scared, sweaty, etc. was a stark contrast.  I thought it was good use of detail and shows how Jacob's death is a real game changer.

I'm still here. I don't have much to add because I'm not that clever at figuring things out. I just like to read all of your theories! 

I suppose this is a spoiler from the episode that hasn't aired in the UK yet?  



I thought it was agreed that we wouldn't have uncovered spoilers from the new episode until after the UK air date?  If that isn't the case, I will just stay away from this thread but wanted to check.

You are right, simple mistake I suspect, it can be hard to not say anything.  I streamed in the episode last night (online) and personally, I think it was a great one!

I thought this weeks episode was great, who is David's mother???

I love the lives intertwining and seeing what characters might have been in other lives. I constantly think they are getting their ducks in a row for the last episode, but then they throw new stuff in constantly. I will miss it when its gone, but I have completely enjoyed the ride no matter what the ending is!!

So it is clear that Jacob has some powers that MIB (Man in black, who is not flocke) doesn't have (can leave the island) and MIB has powers that Jacob does not have (like he is the smoke monster).  What if the alternative reality is a reality in which MIB is in the Jacob role and vis versa.  At the end of the last season remember the last thing we saw was the screen white and the Lost lettering black... normally it is a black screen with the lettering white... that makes me think something is flipped... does this make sense?  What do you think?

I took the reversed lettering simply as a sign that the bomb worked.

ya  just that the bomb worked for me as well.  I think jacob  had the power  to keep BLocke on the island  to protect the real world from his evil.. (why he  threw the  white stone from the cave  with sawyer  and said it was  an 'inside joke;.once  jacob was  killed.) .. So now he has  to get rid  of anyone else  who may take  jacob's  role  in being his  guardian..   

I wasn't a huge fan of this week's episode.  Probably because I think Jack is a whiney loser and the only person I hate more is Kate!

I hate that the Lighthouse, which is a cool concept, felt made up in the writer's minds like last week.  Yeah, that was there all along.  

And I hate Jack's constant whining.  Great idea Jack, smash the mirrors without trying to figure it out.  For goodness sake, if I looked into a mirror and saw my house, you should darn well know that I would KEEP LOOKING.  And Jack wasn't interested in what name was at 108?  He doesn't act like a normal person.

And I don't think Emilie de Ravin is a strong enough actress to pull off the crazy.  Though if she kills Kate, it would be the best episode ever.

Meh.  

PS I did actually like Hurley's comments on the skeletons being some them because this is what I have thought for a while.

ETA:  I have nearly zero interest in David's mother.  It will either be someone we don't know (who cares with like 10 episodes to go), his original wife (not a big deal) or they will try to pair someone from the island (which I will probably find just to be a bit anvil-like).  If they make it Juliet, I will not be happy.

It is the "what happened if the island no longer existed" timeline.  Loads of things are different.
